Hey, that was a perfectly legitimate reaction! You know you were thinking it :)

-When you stop to get ice cream after IRI and say to yourself "Wow, why is Wildstang working here?" because the employees are wearing tie-dyed shirts

-When, for the entire ride home from IRI, you relate all highway signs, mile markers, exits, etc. to the appropriate teams

-When you are still feeling the effects of a wild DSK show

-When you have a sudden urge to watch Annie while eating fish and chips

-When lame fish jokes suddenly become quite funny

-you find yourself this close to asking one of the people working there if they would trade shirts with you

-when Sprinters are the vehicle of choice for long road trips :D

-When you are able to stay in a sprinter with 5 high school students for a long road trip

-When you discuss FIRST for at least 2/3 of the long road trip

-When you stop at a truck stop with a hardware store and immediately think "Wow, i could really use this to work on a new robot"

-When, at the same truck stop, you feel the urge to put random automotive decals on your robot

-When $5 for a huge roll of duct tape is incredibly enticing

-When you watch a video of IRI 2004 on the trip back from IRI

when you, a person who really gets nervous in cities, convince your parents and youth group to drop you off at some bus station in Chicago, trusting that you'll end up safely in Indianapolis.... terrifying. first greyhound.

-When EVERYTHING somehow relates to FIRST.

-When you are at a fair or festival and you see a former robotics team mate or current member and then 5 hours later you are still rambling about FIRST.

-When you are at work and your boss gets mad because you know almost everyone that comes in either through community service, fundraisers, students on the team or parents of students on the team and the people ask " Will you be joining the robotics team again this year" and when you say yes their face lights up with a big smile.

-When your boss knows the last detail about FIRST Robotics.

-When your boss is flipping through the channels and comes across a competition the weekend you are gone and watches the competition hoping to see you.

-When friends and family randomly call your house too see how things are going at competition.

-When you are at work and you look at the tickets and try to associate every number with a team.

-When you are late for your morning class because your team was doing a live feed on your valleys morning news show and you show up to class in full robotics attire and your professor and classmates say "Roman your late but you did a great job on the news this morning"

-When you are sitting in morning class doodling in your notebook during build season thinking about the robot instead of taking notes and your professor asks you a question and you weren't paying attention and squeeze out of it by talking about robotics.
-When you see a pig and think about our buddies from Florida Exploding Bacon. "Oink Oink BOOM!!!!'' then laugh

-When your room is full of robotics stuff and so is your car.

-When you trade in your car for a jeep because it's not big enough to haul robotics stuff in it.

-When your friends get mad because your myspace top 32 is full of all robotics teams and friends that you have met over the years and your friends are no where to be in site.

-When you don't sleep the night before competitions because you are to excited.

-When you win the lottery and give part of the money to your robotics team.

-When you see hulk hogan riding a segway and get excited

-When you spaz on someone even a stranger because they said something bad about robotics.

- When you plan a special trip to the mall with your robotics buddies to go "Competition Shopping".

-When you see a number anywhere and stop and take a picture because it's associated with a team.


I have lots more but I'll post them later. I know this is a lot to read right now.

I will have my car like that eventually

...When you consider getting a truck for hauling robotics stuff, then remember it has enough power to tow anything and precede to build a workshop on wheels

When you see the RSS feed from CNN saying "Haas claims third title for year" and wonder what titles a CNC machine company can win...

...When you come back from a competition, and then on monday, you are ranting to your friends about what crazy things wildstang came up with that year

...When you start modeling random things in your robotics room because "We may have to use it at some point".

...Whenever you see tie die, you can't think of anything other than Wildstang

...When you screamed harder for Beatty at IRI than you have ever for any other match (even ones that you were involved in)

We have a mentor who's car is like this. I has a self-programmed GPS system with an 8" touchscreen. He also has a wifi antenna that allows his car to download all of his emails and read them off to him while he's driving.

-When you immediately think of Robo-Dawgs when you see a bottle of mountain dew.
-When you think of Robo-Dawgs several times each day because you have to keep drinking mountain dew to stay awake.

When you run across a truck that is the same color as your team shirt and think that it would make a great team vehicle. This truck was seriously a green very close to our shirts.

- You see your team number somewhere and start cheering it out
- You miss school after any competition to actually get sleep
- You bring up a story about Atlanta in every conversation
- You play basketball and wish robots would be on your team instead
- You put Dean Kamen in your "Who I'd Like To Meet" section of your myspace
- You google FIRST and/or your team to see what comes up
