Re: You know you've overdosed on FIRST when...
~ When you think you can NEVER be overdose on FIRST
~whenever you see the word "first" you feel like it should be in capitals... the right way to spell it ;) ~You carry safety glasses with you wherever you go... and you forget you still have them on ~You carry a small screwdriver in your makeup bag ~The best English essay you've written has been about FIRST ~When you realize the only reasons you are a leader is because of the love you have for your team and because of the great impact that FIRST has been in your life. ~Family dinner conversations are all about strategy ~when you agree that "Legos ARE a serious business" ~you say "robot" instead of excuse me x) lol ~all you want for your birthday is a 7/16 wrench and a set of hex keys ~you think about the Championship every time you listen to the black eyed peas ~when you just KNOW that there will never be another basketball game as cool as Rebound Rumble ~You have an "elevator speech" ready for whenever someone asks about FIRST ~whenever you talk about FIRST you feel like you'll never find the right words to express how amazing your experience and the program itself is. ~ You go to bed tired from doing robotics and wake up excited to do robotics. ~the only reason you wish there were more hours in a day was to finish wiring ~You won't miss your team after graduation, because you know you'll still be there next year and the year after and the year after... to support, to represent, to mentor, to be FIRST |

When, on the drive back from competition, over 2way radios you develop a new dialect of the FIRST Language, "8020-speak", derived heavily from 1337/chatroom speak.
When, on the way back from competition, you attempt to figure out why so many cars straffed into the ditches without any fancy mecanum drive system and independant wheel control. |

You know you've overdosed on FIRST® when you know (and OCD over) all the FIRSTlogo rules... Also you're driving home from a competition, your parents, they have the windows locked, and all you think over saying when you fail at trying to open it is "Programming!!! The turret rotation is broken!!!"
