You know you overdosed on FIRST robotics when Amazon.com produces a recommended list of holiday gifts for you to buy for friends, and the top items are Anderson power pole connectors, bearings, wire strippers, and assorted fasteners. You have really overdosed if you think those are really good recommendations and order some of them gift wrapped.

When I was little (middle school age) we hadn't started founding FLL teams yet so I simply worked as an assistant to my older sister on the FRC team. One time I had a truly awful day at school and came home crying. My mother's response? "Do you want to go to the build session tonight? I will make you feel better.."
And it did. It always does.
