When it is almost 3:00 in the morning and you can't sleep, so you spend hours reading old posts.
Also when you realize you can remember back to when this thread started almost 6 years ago now, and think about what you wanted to post back then.

You know you've overdosed on FIRST when you use zip ties in wrapping your wife's xmas present.

When you're first thought in response to the awesomeness of this is IT'S OVER! and your second thought is "that video is so repeatedly entertaining, I really wish I knew who that game announcer was..." and then you watch it again.

...when you get to theater rehearsal from robotics and wonder why everyone is staring, only to realize halfway through that you had your personally decorated safety glasses still on. ::safety::
...when you almost cry about missing an FLL tournament for surgery on your foot. :(
...when you bounce up and down from class to class the day the GDC releases a game hint. :D
...when you explain to each teacher what that game hint is, and just laugh awkwardly when they look puzzled at your excitement over a bunch of numbers.
...when you imagine lyrics to "Robotics Style", a clever parody of "Gangnam Style", in your head.
...when you hug your robot before it has to be parted out and tell it you'll miss it very much. :(
...when you KNOW you'll spend all of winter break obsessing over the game hint. :)

My mother, God bless her, has become the FIRST momma.

It used to be that at family gatherings there was a nice pattern. Everyone would be talking and stuff and then *all turn* "So Bubba, what are you up to these days?" I would answer, giving a nice little Sparknotes version of whatever was happening with me. But alas, NO MORE!

Instead, it's:
Family: "So Bubba, what are you up to these days?"
Me: "Well, I'm on the robotics team-"
My mom: *launches into a detailed explanation of Rebound Rumble*
Me: "Yep, what she said." :D

One of us OD'd...I'm still not sure which.
