Nearly all the links on the "Recent Activity" box are all clicked.

When you are sitting in Geometry and your math teacher says "Points CD" and it takes you a good 3 seconds to realize he is talking about the points on the arc of a circle, not Chief Delphi.

You have homework due tommarow for said Geometry class and you are writing this post instead. (Mark would kill me if he read this.....)

You understand my reference to Mark, and can see why he would kill me

you can identify with every post on this thread, even though you're a part of a rookie team and have just finished your first year

you dropped your senior project that was already under way in order to develop a new one that would basically make the team self-sustaining from now on

even though you should be studying for the AP history test, you're working on your senior project and spending abominable amounts of time on CD

when your AP English teacher has something about CDs (concrete details) up on the board at the beginning of the class, and immediately you have to seek out everyone in the class that remotely knows about CD and tell them about the new threads or posts that you found the previous night. Then when they ask you if you finished the homework, you smile, and know that they are
more than aware of what you did instead. :rolleyes:

when your parent meetings run 1-2 hours over and no one wants to reduce the number of meetings a week to 2 days because everyone is still going through withdrawal

when your withdrawal is so bad that you just sit around at school anyways until the normal time that you would go home after robotics even though there is no scheduled meeting

when other members of your team are doing the same thing

when you realize that you have way too many answers for this thread and are going to force yourself to log off and go work on your senior project instead :yikes:

you think that not having seen any robotics student in less than 3 hours means something has gone wrong...

you attend your botball competition and you are the most spirited there...

everyone looks at you weird when you paint your face and no one else does...

you go see your adviser every day hoping to see any robotics student randomly sitting there...

you think 2 hours of sleep is an accomplishment...

your father buys a book related to robotics and you instantaniously relate to everything in the book...

you wonder why dean kamen was not put into the book...

...when the only jokes that you talk about are inside jokes from robotics

...when there is a multiple choice question on a test and you are very inclined to bubble your team number or a familiar team's number even though it is the wrong answer

...when you annoy people by reciting team names when you see their numbers

...you get excited in Chemistry when you finish balancing an equation and the total comes out to 19O2 on one side and only 2 other people in the class know what you are talking about

...you realize that you wore all FIRST shirts the week after the Championship for no apparent reason

...your family alerts you when they see anything remotely related to robotics on the news

...you do the math!

...when explaining something you can always somehow relate it to robotics

...you are already planning on how to revolve your schedule next year around robotics

...When your grades start to drop below 60% and then you think to yourself, hey, that's about how much of the robot we had built at the last competition.

...When your parents just start ignoring you because all you talk about is robotics stuff they have no clue about.

...When you are driving down the road and see a billboard and at a first glance you think that it was one of the the winning robots from the 2007 FRC.

...When you get caught on Chief Delphi or VEXForum during school, they write you up and then when you get back to class you go right back on the website.

...when you lose 2 friends a week becasue you won't shut-up about robotics

there isn't any new posts on CD; you've read them all

you talk to your programming teacher who lets you do robot programming instead of visual basic....

you can't wait 'till the next robotics meeting (there really isn't enough :p )

I still have the band on from the team social, and when another team member noticed it, they said I should never take them off and just keep on adding them every year until my entire arm is covered wtih them...and now I really want to, even though it will probably drive people (especially my mom) crazy. Of course that just makes it even more fun.

I'm seeing lots of posts in here giving a hint that some teams don't have enough robotics meetings.
Niether in ours.
Anyone has an idea what to do to make more meetings?
