when you're told a day before hand you are giving a big presentation about FIRST
Start freaking out because you have no time to prepare, and then realize FIRST is what you live and breathe so it's not a very big deal
and when you are giving the presentation to your team (made up of a lot of new members) along with a few other non FIRST people (school board president, superintendent of the district, asst. superintendent of the district, principal, parents of new members, a congressman, etc.) and when answering a question you throw out other teams names (thunder chickens and killer bees) without even thinking about it as an example of an alliance and five seconds later realize it was a bad idea because now half of the people are staring at you like you must be crazy, and a distinguished guest raises his hand and asks if he heard right when I said thunder chickens and asks for an explaination of what a thunder chicken is.

when you are 13-years old and you get a sponsor, start and organize and FTC team and spend hours researching vex and going on the vex forum and looking at previous robots (i did this for about 4 months before registration!)

I was going to say you're too young to be overdosed--then I realized I'd overdosed before I hit eleven AND the FLL students (and coaches) I mentored are getting dangerously close to an OD...

2)Any program you make has 100000000 characters or more
3)Your hands can't stop moving in a control stick movement
4)You try to build robots to do everythig for you
5)You burn when away from a computer for longer than .75356598 seconds
6)You carry a stop watch to measure .75356598 seconds
7)When you attend a team meeting, you carry with you any three of the following:
A)A foam finger with your team number on it
B)You carry a neon sign with your team number on it
C)A laptop with pictures of the real world because you forgot what it looks like
D)I list of every movement and program involved with your robot
E)A list of possible names for the robot
F)20 pounds in maintenance equiptment
G)A bed for overnighters
8)You're reported missing because you haven't been home for months

1) You start doing math equations with FIRST team names instead of actual numbers
2) You start seeing images of the FIRST Logo in your sleep (and yes I have had this happen multiple times)

you know the web address of your team forum by heart (and its long) but you have to think a minute about your phone numer.
you remember three or four digit numbers by teams, and while watching irobot, you think, wow, that is one heck of an autonomous program.

You know you and your family has overdosed on FISRT when you keep getting early birthday presents that all revolve around your team....A quite nice set of multi tools, for build season (says father) a metal case for parts and other misc stuff (father again). A Wacom tablet, for graphics (mostly robotics here too...)

You look at the overdosed on FIRST thread and laugh at what people have done, then realize that you have done almost everything that has been posted so far and then feel like an idiot
The majority of your conversations with your father, brother, and certain friends are purely about FIRST and nothing else
If you think something is wrong with you when you don't think Dean Kamen, Woodie Flowers, or Dave Lavery is my hero at least ten times a day

You're marking off team numbers to make sure everyone is there for alliance selections, and you realize that you recognize more than half the teams at Kettering Kickoff and ARC by just seeing their uniforms.

lol the laptop im using right now was my early christmas AND birthday present, i needed it for my FTC competition, which is very soon (im still not done tweaking):eek: :eek: :eek:

You cry when you look back at Championships realizing that it was the best weekend of your life

You try to explain the competition at summer camp and get help from a random kid you've never seen before but you become inseperable due to FIRST

You say the first 3 words of an inside joke about Championships to your robotics partner in crime and dont have to finish cuz you're both LAUGHING like CRAZY!!!!

You think in robotics pick up line..... **wanna screw??**
