I'm new to this FIRST thing and let me just say....I can totally agree with you on all those things. I should know when half these things happened to me when I was apart of FLL in 8th grade

-when you jump up and down screaming for joy after winning a match
-when you breck down and cry after making it to the finals of your regional and lose

Ok, this is a bit of a story: we're on our way back from kickoff, & one of our coaches is sitting behind me and my friend. We start talking about how much of the ball hangs below the overpass, and we start talking about how we would solve the problem, yada yada yada. Then our coach (who is a teacher at school) says that this would make a great quiz problem. We don't believe him, and promptly forget how to solve the problem. I walk into class on Monday, and see a diagram of a big circle resting on two little ones with some hanging out the bottom. I walked in and said "You didn't really do that, did you?"

Gist of the story:

-When robotics math problems become do nows in your precalc class (even though you don't need any of the precalc material to solve them.)

When your ears perk up when you hear the commercial for the new "Stack Attack" fast-food burger...and you weren't even around for that game

when you use the phrase "lend me a manipulator" instead of "lend me a hand".

...You're sick and home from school, so you spend the entire day alternating between CD and you're team's website.

when you make a program on your computer to count down the time left till the next season in seconds....... (like i did)....

When you develop a fear a quiet sounds....
When you have to start putting buttons on others because you ran out of space on yourself...

Here is something to add:
1. When you think FIRST means the number 1
2. When you see this year's competition and you say "Lets get started"
3. When you think this year's competiton is NASCAR related (which I do)
4. When you scream "I love FIRST" and you put place in there
um.. can't think of anymore:( :ahh: :D

You know you're overdosed on FIRST when you have to chase your cat around your house to retrieve a piece of surgical tubing he stole from your bag (how it got in the bag, I'm not sure).

you get called a kleptomaniac for all of the tools you have in your pockets as you walk around school that belong in the workshop.

When you've been in a brainstorming session from 5pm onward, it's 30 minutes to midnight, and you're still debating...and 50 other team members are right there debating it with you
