Legal Utilization of DeWalt Motors
According to the 2006 Manual it seems that Dewalt motors should be illegal, as per <R43> and <R44> which state that the only motors you can use in addition to those in the kit parts are two small CIMs. It seems impossible that one could have DeWalts on a robot, but a number of teams at the championship were using them. I re-checked the manual and the flowchart but I do not understand how teams can use these.

Re: Legal Utilization of DeWalt Motors
They were CIM motors using the Dewalt Transmissions, not the actual Dewalt motors.

Re: Legal Utilization of DeWalt Motors
These are DeWalt drill transmissions mated to legal motors (e.g. small CIM, Johnson Fisher-Price, etc.). Note that especially with the F-P motor, it may appear (at first glance) as if it is an unmodified DeWalt drill. See here.
