2006 Canada's Wonderland Off-Season Event

I'm proud to announce that the date has been set for the 2006 Canada's Wonderland Off-Season Event, presented by Team 1114.

Date: September 23rd
Location: Paramount Canada's Wonderland
Registration Fee: $300 Canadian

Additional Info: All attendees will need to purchase tickets to get into the park. We'll be selling these for ~$26 per person. This ticket is good for admission on both the Saturday and Sunday. Regular single day admission to the park is $56.25.

The event will feature this year's Aim High game, along with our traditional skills competition. Look for events such as full field races, and "The Pokey, Pokey Challenge". More details to follow.

To register, send an email to kkanagas [at] gmail.com, and I will send you full details.

Look for our website early next week.

I can't wait for this, the last two years was a blast. What more can you ask for a FIRST event in a theme park, Karthik singing/mc'ing, a day of fun and meeting new friends.

I'll be volunteering again this year.

Hope to see everybody there

I'll be there, alright.

Quick question though: will the pokey, pokey competition be only open to actual pokey, pokey guys/girls?

I want to know whether I should bother bringing my custom engraved stick...

610 will be attending for the first time, from what I have heard it is a lot of fun and good competition. Looking forward to it, any more details on how the day goes?

Adam,

The pokey pokey competition will be open to anyone who thinks they can clear a center goal filled with poofballs. Bring that custom stick.

The pokey pokey I guess you didn't see all the problems that the volunteer's had keeping the center goals clear. I'm assuming (and you know what assuming gets you) that it'll just be a center goal stuffed to the brim that you have to clear in the fastest time without letting any balls fall out on the feild side.

You really do have a death wish, don't you Vince? :-)

And anything but the bird calls!! I've heard enough "ca-caw's" to last me a lifetime!

I hope to be bringing a team and a robot with me this year instead of just my own sorry self.

If I forget my pokey pokey stick at home, perhaps I can just use Karthik - he resembles a stick in many ways.....

Sorry but Karthik is much too fragile. You really need something that has a bit of strength in it.

I would go but there is two reasons why i can't:
(1) I will be in my first year in college
(2) My parents wont let me go to Canada by myself.

I am sure that it will be awesome and I am sad that I am going to miss it.
