Camera help needed

I am a programmer for team 1390. I have been programming for two years now but am dumb. I would really like to use the camera next year, especially after what they showed us at nationals, but don't even know where to start. Someone please reply and help me out.

It is always best to start at the beginning...

You might try contacting some of the higher skilled programmers on the site and asking them for help. Having somebody experienced looking over your shoulder is a big help (Thanks Mark!) and really speeds the process up.

working with the CMUcam isnt too hard, first start by researching the camera as much as possible from usfirst and kevin.org/frc then start testing stuff if ou have trouble or questions i will be willing to help you as will many others here on CD.

Hmmm. not too dumb to ask for help. Pretty smart, really.

Read the docs and come back with your questions, we'll wait.

first solder the TTL cable to the camera .. then tape the heck out of the TTL chip on to the board. . .I also suggest a bottle for Advil for the headache . . but its worth it.

Ask anything you like, bluisnake. I have a good handle on the camera.. and at regionals when I'm not doing something with our robot I'm usually around at other people's pits fixing stuff.

I'm on 1024 kil-a-bytes so if you see our team at a regional or something just ask anyone on the team if you can talk to "Q" and I'll be glad to help ya out.

I am a new programmer for my team, and have been working with the camera every day pretty much for a few weeks. I am getting pretty good at operating it, and have made many mistakes.

If you have any trouble just pm me or make a post because i probably have had the same problem and could help you fix it.
