Wow I just saw for the first time my signature with this whole attending stuff - I have to say I'm pretty excited (you rock my rox brandon martus)
I've got a question though - When you click on the attending link it takes you to the CD Events page... is it possible/likely/in the works to have it direct to the specific event?

Yes, those will be links to the events. I think I'll do that now, actually.

Re: Calendar and Countdown enhancements

I grabbed a lot of data off FIRSTs website for what teams attended what events, and what awards they won, etc. I have yet to load it all into CD-Events, yet. I did, however, import all of the who-competed-where information. So, two things:

1) Off-Season competitions. I need to know who competed at them.
2) Your team. Check out the attendance record and let me know if its right/wrong. Eventually, there will be a page (per team, and per user) that will list what events you (or your team) attended.

For Off-Seasons .. it'd be awesome if the team(s) putting them on could get me all of the info at once, rather than a few trickling in here & there. I prefer CSV or Excel, but will take anything.

Thanks.

I just looked up Palmetto 2006; it seems that the teams get lopped off after 1251, which makes for only 26 teams out of 48 teams that were there. Link: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/event/detail/3912?

It seems that VCU has the same problems in both '05 and '06.

That is pretty sweet. Now I won't have to edit my signature every time a new event is scheduled or a competition is over!

Can't wait to see what other features will be coming out!

edit: Mine aren't showing up yet? We'll see what happens...

Oh, yeah, known bug. They're all in the database, but they won't show up until their team info gets loaded in (hopefully tomorrow-ish).

When I click on certain off-season events that I might attend and want to add my name to the list, the list seems to load too slow. I always received "Loading..." and nothing changes.

Only the Championship Event list allow me to include my name for some reason.

Just wanted to let you know. Enjoy the new section.

Known issue .. I haven't had a chance to take a look at it, though.

But, thanks for the reminder.

I added a page to CD-Events.

Go to an event that has people scheduled to attend (or have attended).
Click a username in that list of people there.

Ta-da .. a user detail, including the next event this person is going to, as well as a list of those they're scheduled to go to and those they've been at. It's not done yet .. so unless something's seriously broken, hold off on the bug reports.

I just pulled 2007 team registration info off usfirst.org .. so now there are team detail pages, very similar to the user detail pages I just posted about.

so now you can see an event, see who will be there (people and teams). Clicking on a team or a person will let you see where they will be (and have been.. eventually).

ta-da #2, Jane. (this is what happens when I get random motivation .. )

1am. sleep time.

(if anybody is bored and wants to do some crazy data collection, send me a private message. it involves getting data to fill in the previous events .. lists of registered teams .. lists of award winners .. etc. send me a PM and ill get you the details and the format i'd like it in.)

Awesome Brandon. I was interested in this part of CD ever since I first saw it.
I can help with some of the info gathering if you want.
Let me know, and I'll see what I can do.

As far as a bug:
http://www.chiefdelphi.com/event/detail/4405?

The date is correct, but it has info and is named 2007 when it is in the calendar as 2006.

The 2007 one is in there too, so it's just this one that needs to be modified a bit.
