Team 571 Fundraiser Dinner in Windsor, CT

Team Paragon 571 will be holding a fundraiser on May 24th at a local pizzeria and restaurant. We will receive 10% of all profits on that night as we wait upon, set, and clean the tables. (they don't trust us with the cooking  )

The restaurant is a sit-down, casual place with mostly italian items. They have very good pizza, and I personally recommend the meatball grinder. It is very reasonably priced and the portions are pretty large, so come hungry!

If you or your team lives in the area and could come out and support us, we would be very appreciative. Dine-in, Takeouts, and Pre-orders will help our team. Thanks!

Location: Jim’s Family Restaurant & Pizzeria, 124 Poquonock Avenue, Windsor, CT

Date: Wednesday, May 24, 2006
Time: 5:00pm to 8:00pm
Phone (of restaurant): (860) 688-5953 or 688-5442
Questions: PM me

I would be there but it's the CT Team Feedback Forum night... While I hope the area teams support your fundraiser, I also hope they send reps to the feedback forum!

Tonight is our big dinner and we are hoping for quite a crowd, but as Kathie mentioned the Feedback Forum is tonight so please make that your top priority. If you have some extra people though and could send them over to Jim's, we sure would appreciate it :D

Our robot will be there as well, so if you ever wanted a personal tour of the robot and didn't get one at the competitions, now is the perfect time! (just ask for Steve) Thanks and I hope to see some of you there :)

Note to all.
Events that take place in the middle of the week are never any good for scheduling purposes and hectic schedules...

This includes Fundraisers, and Feedback forums, both of which I would of liked to attend if they were on a weekend.. :(

While I hope both events have many people attending, I'm not seeing it as a good idea to hold important events like these in the middle of a week when lives are already as chaotic as they can get during the weekdays.

So...how did it go? Well, I hope. :)

It went pretty well - we didn't have to do much with the tables but we held doors and displayed the robot outside. Some people gave it a hasty glance and continued inside with a confused look on their faces, but most stopped and asked about it.

I didn't get a total on the money raised but it was pretty crowded. We definitely drew in business that wouldn't have been there without the posters around town/schools, which is how they make money even with giving us some of the income.

Yeah...but the middle of the week is when the restaurants need business so they open it up to fundraisers to drum up some attention. If you know somewhere we could go on a Friday night, drop me a PM. :D

Go to the hottest club in your town or city and get money that way.
