SWEET. its good to have a guide for tqagging, nice work.

just one revision...

if you were to tag Arefin as "Arefin Bari" with a space seprating the two words it would end up as two tags like this...

-Arefin
-Bari

you need to seprate words in a single tag with capitol letters like "ArefinBari" then it will show up like this...

-Arefin Bari

Thanks Michelle.

Hopefully, some new features in the works will help to prevent some of the innocent mistakes that new users make. But, like always, I'm super busy and who knows when those will come about.

Thanks again for taking the time to write up this document.

Yeah no problem, I was just bored one day and did it. The "sad" thing is that I did all the examples from memomry. I didn't even look a Chief Delphi at all when writting the document. Scary! :)

Yeah thanks.

But with the no space tags, you don't need to use a second Capital

ArefinBari and Arefinbari will both produce the result "Arefin Bari"

... but only if the tag is already in the system. So, you have to be careful there.

I (and maybe others, in the future) can edit them, if they are initially added wrong, though.

I have a question about the way we tag photos.

Let's say I want to find a picture of the 2006 Bobcat Robotics machine. A search of "frc177 robot" would turn up all the Bobcat robots, but I have no way of filtering by year. If I wanted pictures of the 2006 Bobcat Robotics machine from the championship this year, I could search "frc177 robot championshipevent2006" but why is the year tied to the competition?

Shouldn't year be it's own tag? Wouldn't it make sense to tag a photo with "year2006 iri" instead of "iri iri2006"? Then date isn't tied to competitions, it's its own tag. If you want a specific competition year, you can search with more than one tag ("iri 2006"). If you wanted a specific year's robot, you can search with more than one tag ("frc177 2004"). If you wanted to see someone's old crazy hair, you can search with more than one tag ("Ogre 2006").

Let me know if I'm crazy.

There are yearly tags... Search for 2006, 2005, etc. and see what you come up with.

I was wondering about that yesterday. Specifically, what happens when you have 2003, 2004 and 2005 robots together in a 2006 photo? I assume that all four year tags are valid, right?

Go ahead and tag it with each year of the robot. Since that robot is from that year. If you want to go ahead and tag it with 2006 since that was when it was taken, but if the 2006 robot isn't in it it's a little iffy. I think we should wait until Brandon gets back.

I think thats why Brandon implemented the boolean searches. They narrow the fields down allot but I still have problems with it. I think it's my error tough.

And yes, Greg you are crazy. :)
