You're 18??? I remember when you were younger...and I didn't realize you are older than I am.

Well...you can do a few things that I won't mention here.

You can VOTE. Vote. Please. I won't comment on politics, just vote :).

Adulthood and all the responsibility and unpredictability that comes with it. Be an agile thinker and have a good sense of humor about things in life. Your stomach and arteries will thank you.

Well you could always mentor and still be a huge help to a team out there. Not to hijack this thread, but I have a similar question. I turn 18 in September of my Senior year will I still be able to compete in my Senior year as a full team member not a member?
Thanks

Do you mean, are you still considered a "student" though you're 18? Yes.

4.2.1 Definitions
DRIVER: A pre-college student team member responsible for operating and controlling the ROBOT.
HUMAN PLAYER: A pre-college student team member designated as the only team member permitted to enter balls onto the field.

Go to the nearest lottery retailer. Buy about $20 in tickets in the form of your choosing. (When I did this exercise, I did about $15 in scratch-offs and $5 in Powerball.)

If your results are anything like mine (I won $0), you will know how well lottery tickets function as financial planning. ;)

Register to vote. Otherwise you have no say in what happens, and no grounds for complaints, either.

Oh, and don't do anything stupid, you're an adult now...

I concur, the best thing to do as you get older is to not get too worked up about anything in life that careens (yes most problems will come into your path when you least expect it so hence why I use that word) into your daily life.

In HS, you have a lot of problems facing you, but hate it as I may, the problems facing you after you graduate are harder to the X'th degree.

I would have never believed that if you asked me if my problems that I had to deal with later in life would be harder than the ones around HS age, but it's true..

But, there is hope. As Ed said, be prepared to deal with these things as you grow up, and to take his words a step farther, gain not only the child/parent relationship with your parents, but the friendship of your parents as well as you grow up, because as hard as it may be to see now for some of you who are 18, or younger even, they will become your allies later on in life if you don't reject their help now.
