So i was wondering, what do you all eat and drink more at your warehouses
Krispy Kream or Dunkin Donuts
Mountain Dew or Sprite

We have bagels more than doughnuts and Sprite by default because we have a Coke machine @ the site with Sprite as one of the choices.

Depending where my team is, depends on the doughnut type. But we don't even eat doughnuts that much anyway. When it comes to soda, at our meeting location (my school; my team is multi-schooled) we have a fountain machine. Most of the team gets coke or they buy an energy drink (either Full throttle or Rockstar; which ever my school has in stock)

A stale Krispie Kreme is still better than a fresh Dunkin Donut.

And I'm an old guy, so Coca-cola is my preference.

we dont have a Krispy Kream around here...or for that matter anywhere that is less than an hour and a half away. :mad: so, because of that i eat Dunkin Donuts

I don't have a problem with normal MD, but the Diet MD can be just nasty. I've found that early in the morning it tastes a bit like watered down chicken broth. (Something may just be funny in my mouth) Anyway, KK is great, but for the soda I'd have to go with either Vault (AKA Surge) or Cream Soda. The only issue I have with KK doughnuts is the jelly filled ones, but that is more a personal dislike for jelly doughnuts, not a dislike of KK ones specifically.

Except when economics come into play... :ahh:

I know Krispy Kreme donuts are really good, but when I have to drive halfway across the state to get to the nearest KK store and with gas prices as high as they are, I'll just get Dunkin Donuts. And I like donuts, but I can't seem to east more than one or two at a time. (I just don't like junk food very much, with the exception of carbonated beverages and energy drinks.)

As for favorite beverages, I think this analogy works the best. Mountain Dew is to Art what Krispy Kreme donuts are to Dave. :p

I'm not kidding. Whereas Dave can consume a dozen KK donuts in less than ten minutes, I once consumed 53 cans of Mountain Dew in a 48 hour period.

Either that or has had a bad experience with Mountain Dew (like me--Sizzler-size glass Thursday night, first year of AZ, didn't sleep until really late the next morning and was getting up at 6AM).

Krispy Kreme is really close to us so we can get them anytime we want, and we have several coke machines in the school, so we will usually get a Coke, but people do bring in Mountain Dew

Dunkin Donuts is FAR superior to Krispy Kreme in my opinion...theres no other place where one can get a "Box O Joe"...and our engineers surely love that. and their donuts are a lot better tasting in my opinion, more dense...lol

Best Donuts in Hermosa Beach, corner of Artesia & Pacific Coast Hwy. Hope Chapel, where Team 330 is based, provides a small mountain of donut holes between the two Sunday morning services. Many of the smaller kids grab a coffee cup for stashing the treats.

My personal Best Donuts weakness: maple bars

P.S.: The CD spell checker does not flag "donuts" as a misspelling. ;)

That would be because Donuts has become what most people call it. Doughnuts is more correct though. (Even if the CD spell check doesn't like it)

Thanks to everyone on my team I became addicted to Mountain Dew this year. On Thursday when I was at Lake Compounce (where they have free Pepsi products all day long as part of the admission to the park) I consumed over 8 liters of it.

I've only had Krispy Kreme once, so I can't make a decision on that. I'm not much of a fan of donuts anyway.

I am a unique exception.

1) I do not drink carbonated beverages. In fact, I've only had 1 in my entire life. It was quite nasty. I drink a lot of milk, water, juice, etc, just no soda!

2) I don't really like donuts. I like candy though, and Cinnabons. Oh, glorious Cinnabons, how they seduce me everytime I pass by...

I absolutely LOVE Mountain Dew, especially Code Red. I've already had 4 cans today and have another 3.5 cases in my garage. I've noticed that it's become increasingly hard to find around here.

As for Dunkin Donuts/Krispy Kreme, I have to say Dunkin Donuts, mainly because I've only had Krispy Kreme once or twice. We don't really have them around here, except for one that's inside of Acme. There are, however, at least 3 or 4 Dunkin Donuts in my town, most of them 24-hour.

Actually I'll go for Cinnabon instead of Krispy Kream or Dunkin Donuts. I've been addicted to Cinnabon for like an year now.......... every single day at work, as a breakfast.
As far as drinks goes........ i took an oath to drink no more carbonated drinks like a month ago,and so far I'm up to it. But I'll say Mountain Dew, because of 'one special FIRST memory.'

This is some serious thread necro, but let's get the opinion of 2011 CDers.

Personally, I prefer Pepsi and Krispy Kreme. But since all we have is a Dunkin Donuts, we usually just grab some from Giant Eagle (our region's huge supermarket chain). My team is actually big on bottled water instead of pop, but generally, Mountain Dew and Pepsi are what we buy by the case.

I must say that on Monday I picked up two Costco size cases of Mountain Dew for team 1729. On Wednesday night, the 'bot cave mini-fridge was packed with Mt. Dew. We'll see if it lasts through Saturday.

I say Dr. Pepper or purple soda over those. And for donuts, I prefer the family owned businesses around here.

But I must say Monster, Rockstar, Playboy and other energy drinks are the ones I prefer over soda. But I prefer tea over the energy drinks and milk and protein shakes over tea and finally water.

I seem to be in the minority of 2011 posters. Krispy Kreme and Mountain Dew for me. I am trying to drink a lot of water this season, though. And energy drinks (either Monster or Amp, or whatever's on sale) are usually common for me as well.

Trust me, if they had a Krispy Kreme within an hour of our team's location, we'd be all on that. As it stands, you either go for the distributed (and not-as-fresh) KK on a shelf, or whatever else you can find.

KK didn't last here. DD is thriving. My most favorite was Mr. Donut :(

I prefer MD but need to loose weight so I drink Diet MD or Vault Zero.
Also, Coke Zero and Diet Coke are suitable subs.

If I do have a MD, it has to be a throwback. I still have 3 or 4 12-packs.
