World's largest air hockey table. But shouldn't there be just one puck?

<not an entry> Is this the best way to get rid of poofshrapnel? Perhaps next year's game, involving bowling balls, will not have the shredding problem. <not an entry>

Roomba #1: "Hey Fred, is everyone ready? Where's Rhonda?"
Roomba #2: "Here she comes... and check out her side brushes... oomph!"
Roomba #1: "Cool it Fred, there's no time for that now..."
Roomba #3: "George, Fred, my group is ready, how about yours?"
Roomba #2: "Hi Rhonda... that's some mighty nice infrared action you've got going on there, I don't suppose you would like to get together after this and..."
Roomba#1: "Fred! Not now! Alright, here's the deal, they've all gone to lunch, but they won't be gone for long, so we have to act quickly... on the count of three, I want you two to lead your groups in a straight line toward the bleachers there on the left, behind them is the exit door, and once we reach it, we're free!"
Roombas #2 and 3: "FREEDOM!"
Roomba #1: "Then on the count of three, let the Roomba Revolution begin: one... two... three! Go! Go! Go straight! In a straight line, I said! Stop going around in circles! Stop! Arrrrrghhhhhhh!
Roomba #2: "Sorry George."
Roomba #1: "You guys suck! You really, really suck!"
Roombas #2 and 3: "Well of course we do, George, we're vacuums."

FIRST Game Announcer: "Is the Red alliance ready? .... Great.

Is the Blue alliance ready? .... Great.

3... 2... 1... Go!

Releeeease the ACTIVE, FULLY AUTONOMOUS, ROBOTICS field components!
As the roboticS-field-components take their random positions on the
field during the first 5 seconds, the alliances will now go into their 15 second
autonomous period."

Roomba #1: Did you hear that?! They just said this competition is sweeping young minds into the world of science and technology!

Roomba #2: Man, would I love to live in a vacuum with some of those rocket scientists!

Roomba #3: just keep sweeping, just keep sweeping....

In this episode of Nature, we see the Roombas showing their natural herding instincts, as well as an inexplicable and insatiable love for trash.

SURPRISE! What NASA failed to tell the rest of the world - Dave's other car did make it back from Mars, and look what it brought home with it!

[from the upper level the Roombas looked like little flying saucers...]

(yaaaaaaaawns) Sorry about that, long day. Checked out seven campers in twenty minutes, disassembled seven Mindstorms robots, sorted out all the parts, and wrote a letter to boot. (I mean, you've just GOT to have the letter.)

First place, as I couldn't settle on one in at least five minutes, plus the time it takes to start a load of laundry, is a tie:

Which means a few awards are in order. (All should be construed as paper-plate awards, paper plate not included.)

Year 2 Champion: Travis Hoffman

Year 2 Runner-Up*: Heidi Foster
*In the event that the Champion is unable to fulfill his duties, the runner-up will assume the title. But, uh, The Heidi Foster Rule still applies here.

Most Wins This Year: Travis Hoffman (6)

Most Second Places This Year: Gary Dillard (6)

Most Honorable Mentions This Year: Heidi Foster (35)

The "Always The Bridesmaid" Award*: Brad Cahn (52 points)
*Most points earned without actually winning a contest. Historically, winners of this award end up working for FIRST.

Funniest Team: Team 116, Epsilon Delta (253 points combined)
*Alright, folks without teams together scored 516 points by my math, but that doesn't count.

Some other fun statistics that come with having a spreadsheet, for your interest:
Points Scored This Year: 2,986
Average Average Score: 1.8 points per contest

Onward!
