Re: IRI webcast archive
I feel your pain I have done video productions for our team now for two years. After a while you will get it and just realize that video editing really sucks!!!!!. Never will I ever consider being a video editor. :) Good luck

1) Rip DVD video. This produces an MPEG2 file. 2) Take MPEG2 into video editing software (I use Premiere Elements). 3) Crop video clip to only be one match, about three minutes of timeline. 4) Double check audio sync, manually tweak if necessary (MPEG2 doesn't play nice for me sometimes) 5) Export from Premiere in Full DV codec (this seems to be the only way for me to get MPEG2 out of it alive). NTSC file system helps here, since FAT32 has a 4GB max file size. It drove me nuts exporting NERD Vision 4 to figure out why the 'disk full' error appeared with 30gb free. 6) Take the DV into VirtualDub. Apply a 2:1 reduction filter. 7) Convert to an XVid / MP3 avi file. Change bitrate to about 500kbps for still high-quality video, but small enough to fit under YouTubes 100mb cap. 8) Upload to YouTube. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. |

problems with the video 1) can only rip it to mp4, avi with divix or xi....something. premiere doesn't recognize either of them. 2) the only program i can find to convert it (river past video cleaner) likes to crash 3) sometimes for no reason it exports just audio or just video. or this 4) Quality is being massacred it hurts me to see the video this way. I found a way that is sort of working. I should have results in the next 2 hours. I will try to put the 133 - 137 match up tonight if it works. |
Re: IRI webcast archive
Now I am having trouble downloading the Flash player to watch what you have on youtube. It tells me I have installed it successfully but it is not on the computer any suggestions?? Please!!!. :)

no got it done. IRI semi final match so.....tired...and i now hate this cursed DVD with a passion. [edit] I HATE THIS VIDEO FOOTAGE!!!!! I rendered it and the video shows the whole match but when I upload it into youtube it is only 1:32 Long! I feel ashamed, I know all of you out there are thinking "this guy doesn't know what hes doing" but I do know what I'm doing. I've been working with video for five years now and have produced stuff for my team that looks like this. argh.... I'll guess I'll work on it more tonight. |
