Looking for a new team - Boston area
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a new team to mentor. Well, doesn't have to be new, just new to me. So step one, I am in the Boston area. I just moved to Somerville near the Red Line and I don't drive now that I live in the city. I know there's a bunch of new area teams so I figure there's got to be someone nearby that could use my help. Step two, a bit about me. I started out as a student with Houston's Team 57 in high school, then mentored Worcester's Team 190 while in college and then the short-lived 1214 back in Houston. I have experience in all parts of FIRST from the robot to the animation to the deceptively-easy-looking logistics of project management. I can help out anywhere but I'm most capable in helping with the PM work. Let me know if you have any suggestions or just plain want me on your team. Jon |

Looking from the regional team list from Boston, theres a few teams there that may accept a new mentor.

Welcome back Jon!
May I be the first one to vouch for Jon's excelent mentoring abilities. Back when he was with 190 he did an excelent job and is a very inteligent guy. I wont even go into his crazy volleyball skills! |

Thanks for the replies everyone:
Kyle, I looked at the list before I posted and figured that it would be easier if there were active members from those teams here. RoboMom, thanks for the contact info, I'll definitely do that. Andy Grady, its always good to see a familiar face! Even if just virtually! Thanks for the kind words. We should get together next time you're in the BOS. |
