looking for team handbooks

NEMO is looking for examples of team handbooks to post on the NEMO website www.firstnemo.org
as a resource. I know there are some great ones out there. I've got some from the white papers, although might be a little outdated.

I've been dealing with teams that are attempting to put together a handbook so I would like a central place to direct them to for guidance.

Best would be if you could provide a link I think. Kathie is the web maven. I am hopeless.

Thanks.

Re: looking for team handbooks

This is our Team Handbook Rev. 1 (2004) We are currently updating to a Rev. 3 and hope to have that up soon.

Short and sweet is what we're aiming for.

Edit:

One of our team members found our Team Handbook Rev. 2 (2006)

It has had some revision within the last few weeks, but I'm not sure how updated/releveant it is.

Re: looking for team handbooks

We haven't had a handbook since 2004 (you can survive without one, but I wouldn't recommend it), so this one is based off that one with some of our own changes. It does have a little humor in it because our officer core just can't resist.

Here is an guide that we have used for a few years to organize the team. The "handbook" is a work in progress.

Re: looking for team handbooks

971 had some sort of small, incomplete handbook back in 2003. I believe it was based off of 254's but not nearly as good or complete. As some of you already know, i've been slowly working on a leadership manual for 971, but that will be very large. We're planning on paring it down to create the Team Handbook. It'll probably be complete sometime early 2007 if we're lucky

Re: looking for team handbooks

I know this thread is a few months old but I just remembered that I said I would post our latest Handbook when it was finished, well we now are up to Rev. 4.

Here's a link to the
Lightning Robotics Official Team Document Repository - Handbooks.

It's got our current:
Handbook (+ the four previous revisions)
Style Guide (+ the previous revision)
Safety Guide (We never really adopted the system)
By-Laws for our Robotics Parents & Mentors Booster Club

Please fell free to check out the rest of the documents in the repository.

here's 1816's... we're relatively new, but I think it's pretty polished

Here is our 2004 handbook. The only thing that is new in our current one is a section on animation, since our team is fairly new to that.

Thanks for bringing this thread back!
It is still on the "to-do" list for www.firstnemo.org
This info is a goldmine.

Jenny,

If you haven't received ours I can forward you a copy. Most of the original FIRST Team Org documentation were based off of ours back in the day anyways.
