How about a redneck joke...

How do you know you are in a redneck motel?

You call down to the front desk and say "I gotta leak in my sink," and they say "Go ahead!"

There once was a lady named Bright,

And returned on the previous night

Cynette 16-11-2006 05:16

Re: The "Anything" Quiz

Ooo, really tough question, What to choose, what to choose...

I'm going to vote for Philadelphia. This got the nod for the whole movie as well as Tom Hanks in the movie. As for the movie - touching, timely and enduring. Hanks got to show a range of emotions while playing a character that was not stereotypical Hanks. And by not playing it as a stereotypical gay man, he really made the point that you can't judge just based on appearances.

Re: The "Anything" Quiz

or are you looking for a full sphere?

source:
http://www.constructioncompany.com/h...-disney-world/

"One of the most recognizable buildings in America, Spaceship Earth was the world's first geodesic sphere building. The building, standing 18 feet above the ground on massive steel pylons, is 180 feet tall and weighs more than 15 million pounds. So massive is the building that construction crews drove its pylon legs 120 - 180 feet into the ground to provide sufficient stability. The sphere's external surface is covered by an intricate faceting of 11,324 alucobond triangles."

That would be EPCOT / Disney World, Kissimmee, FL

Who, you ask is Carmen Sandiego?

Carmen Sandiego is a fictional criminal featured in a long-running series of computer games and television shows in the United States and Canada. As a criminal mastermind and villain, Sandiego was an integral part of the series, which originally focused on teaching geography and history (though the series later branched out into mathematics and English). The character later appeared in a series of books and on many other licensed products. She is typically depicted wearing a red fedora hat and trench coat.

My kids learned so much geography and history from her!

Where will FIRST be in 15 years?

It will truly be an international competition, with LEGO being larger than FRC. 75 Regionals in the US, and 50 in other countries. There will be a US championship and a World Championship, to accomodate the large number of teams.

In the new year, I want to be able to attend the Championship, and get into the colleges that I want to :)

Instead of one question a day, change it up and lessen it to one a week, and do like you did today "x amount of points to first person and x to second etc" and make them multiple answers.

Hiteak 31-12-2006 17:23

Re: The "Anything" Quiz

I also want to go to attend the Championship, but the thing I want most this year is to enjoy build season.

I also agree with Michelle's idea on how to continue the game. More choices means more people involved.

to go to championships for both fll and frc

For my daughter to get into the college that suits her the most, and for everyone in FIRST to have the best experience they can.

And yes you should start the "anything" quiz over, less frequent questions are fine, but the poins should be constant from week to week.

I was just reading through the thread, 1255 is no longer Zelda's Mafia that was the team's name for the first year of competition, it changed to Team Blarglefish the second year when the school district added the town's other high school to the team.
