June 24, 2006 CalGames 2006 Kickoff Meeting Notes

Place: Pioneer High School

Pioneer HS was selected primarily for these two reasons: (1) no need to
cover pit area ("Mini-gym") that is able to handle 30 teams and only need to
cover field area in large gym; and (2) flat, easy access, lots of parking,
all areas close at hand. Both schools, Woodside and Pioneer, had similar
strengths: solid team support, administrative support, had done Cal Games
before, a desire to host. The Planning Committee and all WRRF teams deeply
appreciate Woodside High School's efforts in making a bid and their support
on this decision.

When: October 27-28, 2006

Thursday & Friday: SET UP Field, Pits, Get ready!

Friday night: Bring robot and setup pit area, some inspection &
registration, maybe side events & social

Saturday: Remaining inspection & Registration; Qualifying
matches (possible one match as practice); Tournament; Closing Events &
Awards

Saturday night: CLEAN UP!
