I lost.

OK here is how it goes. It has been sweeping europe and such, now entering the USA recently.

The only rules of the game is, if you think of the game you have lost. Once you have thought of the game you must say "I lost". Then there is a grace period of 20 minutes and the game continues.

I love this game. Been playing it for about 1.5 yrs now. Longest I've gone was 3 months without remembering the GAME (skilled player). :) Good to see it spreading. ;)

:D The Game is my favorite. I actually mentioned it in a post yesterday on here.

I lose probably 2-3 times a day. Some weeks I'll go without ever losing though.

Hmmm... sounds familiar. As of a few days ago, I'd been going for six-seven months without losing, but I lost a couple days ago.

Question - if somebody announces a loss, does that person get the grace period, or does the grace period extend to everybody participating in The Game game as they witness the loss?

some boys on my team have gone desperate measures to have everyone lose th game.

at the UTC regional last year, one guy on our team told Blair to announce "i lost the game" while they were doing field reset. everyone on our team twitched when they heard it. lol



and on the plane ride home from GTR, another team member told the stewardess to announce it. and again, everyone on team 4 got a little agitated. :rolleyes:

I'm sorry if you thought this was the game for this year, but it's a different game. Colin Nobles of the team I'm on (team 340) wanted me to post this for him.... There are a few variations of it, but here is the one we play. A large number of us started playing this game, it's really simple. If you think about it, you lose. Once you think of "The Game" you say "I lost", making all others around you lose as well. They must also say "I lost". There is however a 20 minute grace period in between "losing", in order for people to get it off there mind.

P.S. :eek: I lost :eek: ... that means you did to.

I think you guys missed rule #1 of the game, which is "You are now playing the game." Knowledge of the game implies participation. Anyone who claims they are not playing the game is a cheater and thus loses.

My team is "The Game" crazy. It got to the point where shouts of "I lost" would drown out our power tools. Our team president was not pleased. Drove her crazy XD. Many heads were bitten off (which caused more losing). Our teacher sponsor declared that anyone caught playing the game would not be going to Trenton with the team. He had to relent when he realized it would mean he'd be going to the competition by himself.

Half of us now declare "I lost" upon hearing "I won" or "I lost" before actually thinking about the game.

Now what's really cruel: take a napkin holder that has announcement space on the sides. Take out one of the announcements, turn it around, and write down "You lost the game" in big letters, and put it in with that side out. Then put a fortune something about "it's OK" or something that makes it worse in in front of said statement. In a dining hall.

I used to lose all of the time. I completely forgot about it until recently.

It's funny to see someone walking around with a shirt that says "you lost the game". You can tell who knows about the game that way because, when they look at the shirt, they either tell the person next to them that they lost the game or they get that "i lost the game face". :rolleyes:
