Re: Class of '07, Where Are You Applying?

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be applying for Mechanical Engineering...
And this is my final list (I couldn't find any that I wanted to take off, so I'm applying to 10 schools! (actually, I lied, I originally had 13))

-Olin
-Cornell U
-Georgia Tech
-Boston University
-RPI
-Northeastern
-Clarkson
-Embry-Riddle
-UNH
-WPI

Let me tell you, 10 apps is NOT fun... Thank goodness for the Common App!

Re: Class of '07, Where Are You Applying?

Penn State (early decision)
Rowan University
University of Delaware

I'm still looking at other colleges, not that I'll do anything else if I get in Penn State.

No one applying to Virginia Commonwealth U? They are FIRST-friendly. They have two FIRST scholarships (one is the Karl Linn Memorial scholarship).

This past summer, we had our first team member with a FIRST Scholarship graduate (magna cum laude) from VCU in mechanical engineering - Christina Rodi. WOO HOO! She and Karl co-founded our team.

Re: Class of '07, Where Are You Applying?

Well, all my applications are done and I finally decided on applying to 3 schools

-Wentworth Institute of Technology
-Northeastern University
-UCONN (like Alex said, pretty much a must for us CT folk)

The benefits for me are Northeastern and Wentworth are right next to each other and they both offer Co-op. Co-op is pretty much the reason why I want to go to both. If I decide I dont like engineering and want to do something else, it will be easy for me to change my mind.

Also, these colleges offer a "fenway" deal thingy where you can attend classes at other schools.

The decision will really pretty much be based on how much money I get to which school. I really dont want to go to UCONN (it is a great engineering school, dont get me wrong!) because its 20 minutes from my house.

Hopefully I'll be in the bean next year!

I applied to a few colleges:
Georgia Tech

Where I'm definetly Applying:
Drexel University
Catholic University of America
University of Dayton (happy Joe?)
Clarkson University
Rutgers (New Brunswick, and probably my safety)

Others I still have to consider heavily but have no clue where to put them:
Rochester Institute of Technology
Northeastern University
Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Manhattan College

Just a tid bit of advice for all you underclassmen out there, if you haven't yet, go to a few schools and request some info, don't go to the Ivy Leagues, look at some of the smaller schools, like many of those I've listed and many others have too.

Haha thanks Conor!

I'll applied and was accepted to Brown University's Program In Liberal Medical Education (8 year combined undergrad & medical program).
