Re: Trinity Robotics Programming Workshop - sign up!

Wow, This is an awesome opportunity for teams.

Please don't dismiss this because it is easy c, I was opposed to easy c last year until I got a chance to talk to the people from Intellitek and see what their robot (programmed in easy c) was capable of. I am considering making the trip down from RPI (well more over than down but you get the Idea) to check this out.

Just for any one who doesn't know Intellitek not only wrote the book on easy c they wrote easy c . If your team needs new programmers, this looks like a great place to teach them.

How about if we brought up a VEX 'bot equipped with a FRC controller and a camera? We did not use the camera on our 2006 FRC robot so we built a test platform for the camera utilizing a FVC kit w/FRC controller and programming.

As long as it drives, it counts!

We want to focus the workshop on programming - so as long as you can get it driving with an FRC controller before you arrive with a mounted camera, we can teach you how to program it. Whether it's a Vex bot, a box on wheels, or one of your robots, it will work!

Thanks for all the great responses! Many of New England's best and brightest teams have already signed up to gain a competeitve edge for 2007.

We are currently very close to capacity (at about 70%), and we realize some teams may not have started meeting for the beginning of the year, so the deadline has been extended to Sept 20th!

So, take the weekend, think it over, send out an email to your team - remember, bringing five members means that the registration fee splits out to be $20 a member, which is about as much as you would spend on a pair of jeans, or a night out.

I hope to see you there!
JAB
