My name is Ben white and this past year i was in Israel as a mentor.

first i want to thank team 1944 in Haifa Israel for letting me be a mentor on their team this past year, it was a lot of fun. also i want to thank the FIRST Israel staff for letting be a ref in the Israel regional, and i hope that all the teams in the north came out un-harmed after the resent conflict with Lebanon.
I'am sorry but i wont be able to return this year to mentor. so good luck to all of the teams.

also is there some one who knows when the robot rodeo in fl is and who can i contact them about it.

Robot rodeo is in october usually isn't it?

Last year Robot Rodeo was canceled due to one of the Hurricanes.

I asked my mentor two days ago whether he had heard anything yet, and he said no.

Robot Rodeo was active until fall of 2004. There hasn't been one since then. Perhaps, there are some members of team 1902 who can help you with the question "what is going on with robot rodeo." Try contacting Mike Walker, George Wallace, or Dan Richardson.

Ben,
It was great to have you as a ref last year. People who knew what was going on and could help me get beyond the language barrier were very helpful. As of now we haven't heard any specifics about any Israel FIRST teams being affected by the current situation and the plan is to still have the regional this year. I only hope that this current confect can be settled soon, but either way FIRST Israel is alive and well.
