[OCCRA]: question about IFI wheels and sprockets
 
ive seen them mentioned throughout the forums with different posts from first teams and wasnt sure but are the IFI robot traction wheel allowed in occra and if so are we allowed to use the sprockets that come with the wheels or are we required to use the occra suplied sprockets

Answer: You may ONLY use kit supplied sprockets and in the limited quanity. While we are very liberal in the selection of wheels a guiding constraint is cost and availability. The game and Kit committee is saying NO to the IFI or other custom wheels available from speciality Robotic manufactures.

Wheels available from local hardware stores, McMaster Carr and like sources are appropriate as they are mass produced, readily available and low in cost. A great source is Northern Tool.
