Sponsorship info

I was wondering what other teams have and are doing.
in the essence that the sponsor donate X amount of money and the sponsor gets there name on the website or shirt or robot.

I know there is no normal ratio but maybe you could inform me on what your team has done in the past

Like the sponsor donates X and gets on the website, donates X and gets on the shirt and donates X to get on the robot, Etc.

That would be very helpful.
thanks.

I don't really like that way to come to the sponsors asking for money. The way i like is; if you donate (made up figures) $1K; It is equal to 1 night stay in a hotel room for the entire team, $500 is equal to 1 weeks worth of meals for the team, $250 equals T-shirts for the team, and so on. The quarks of being on the T-shirts, website and robot is to be dealt with the whole team's approval with the sponsors approval. Say Team 9991 comes up to AB Corp and gets $500, FG Inc. gives $1K and KS and EK Company gives $100 but also provides transportation to and from the closest competition. Would you just ask AB Corp and FG Inc. to be on the shirts and robot and website? Or Would you work around ti and figure that KS and EK company gives the basically equal amount of the previous two but not in money wise for recognition on the site, t-shirts and robot.

It's just my thoughts on things.

We have a set amount that we ask people to give for shirts, robot, etc. Unless they ask we dont tell them what those numbers are. But after they have mode there donation we tell them what we will do for them.

Naturally you would work it so that it's based on value of services/materials/money donated, rather than pure cash.

Nobody is going to put a sponsor who gave $1000 cash on their shirt, and not a sponsor who donated $15,000 worth of machining, even though one gave money and one did not.
