so the tigers
just whooped up on the Yankees pretty bad.
who doubted us? |
Re: so the tigers
Idk but i think ther was quite a few doubters...def pretty happy about it...if the tigers win the world series it will be so amazing.
|
Re: so the tigers
Won't matter. The A's are gonna beat the tigers if they advance to the ALCS
|
Re: so the tigers
Personally, I don't really care who wins the World Series, that is, UNLESS THEY'RE THE YANKEES.
I cheer for two teams, the Orioles, and anyone playing the Yankees. ;) |
Re: so the tigers
They haven't won yet. When they do I'll celebrate.
|
Re: so the tigers
BEAT THE YANKEES!!!!!!!!!
8-3 in Game 4, Tigers win series 3-1. :D :D :D :D :D |
Re: so the tigers
Oh yea baby. Tigers all the way!
A's aren't anything compared the awesomeness of the Tigers haha ok maybe i went a little too far there haha |
Re: so the tigers
Seven Years and counting.
Life. Is. Good. :D |
Re: so the tigers
I was very surprised the yankees lost... After being swept by kansas city, i don't think anyone really thought the tigers could beat the yankees, but i guess you never know
|
Re: so the tigers
Shows you what you can do when you don't give away your organization-grown stars. (ex. of Yanks stars given away because the yanks wanted the 'perfect' roster: Pettite, El Duque, Contreras, Soriano, Nick Johnson, Spencer, Lilly)
Pettite pitched the Astros into the world series last yr (w/ some help) and Lilly and the A's are facing the Detroot Toogers (as Costello would say 'He's with the Detroot Toogers and plays shortstoop.) I don't care who wins at this point. I'm with Sean on this. Biggest postseason win for me - Orioles nab a top pitcher and the Cabrera/Bedard/Lopez core blossoms and the O's actually get rid of Bruce Chen and get really good bullpen help (outside of Chris Ray). I secretly hope they pull off a deal to bring The Moose back to Baltimore. |
Re: so the tigers
Yankees Loose! Yankees Loose! Yankees Loose! haha, good job Detroit I love seeing the Yankees loose. Hopefully the Blue Jays can now move up from 2end in the Al East to first.

Re: so the tigers
I was on break at work when they won game four, and I was watching the last minutes in the electronics section. A small applause broke out, which was really great, and then it was back to work for me. :D
|
Re: so the tigers
This puts me at ease...no Redsox and no Yankees...I'm sad about the Sox, but I knew they were in trouble right after the break. But anyone who beats the yankee's I'm gonna root for.

Re: so the tigers

The teams I will always root for are the Sox, the Cardinals, and any team that beats the Yankees (unless they're the Devil Rays or the Marlins, in which case I feel sorry for the Yankees  ). |
Re: so the tigers
Hey I'm from (Rochester) New York! The first team I knew was the Yankees, gotta root for 'em. If it makes you all feel any better, Im a New York Jets fan too!

I'm really shocked right now. I thought the A's would win in 5, not get swept. They've been absolutely pathetic the entire series. |
Re: so the tigers
Tigers ARE going to the World Series!! 22 years to the day after they won it in 1984!
|
Re: so the tigers
All I can say is... it's about time.
Not that I'm a Tigers fan, but how can you not root for a team that came from worst in league to going to the WS in a span of two years. As I've always said with the Braves (they're my team), it's the players you bring up in your organization that'll end up saving you. |
Re: so the tigers
Its not that the A's were bad....its just that the Tigers are better.
