anyone in a fraternity or sorority
 

I was just wondering if any one on CD joined a fraternity or sorority.
I have joined Theta Chi here at Oakland University.
Is there any others?

Speaking for the Kettering people, myself and another 217 Royal Fusion alum are in Sigma Nu, another (really really really old) brother at Sigma Nu is the head ref at GLR and Detroit, and another two brothers used to work with Ken Patton ;).

Additionally, 3 ladies from 279, 67, and the Alpha Omega team are Beta Sig Phi's, a mentor on 66 is a Alpha Gamma Delta sister, a 47 alum is an Alpha Sigma Alpha sister, Another Alpha Omega is a Phi Gamma Delta brother, my fraturnity brother just married another ASA sister who was on the Lake Orion Dragons. Our former student president was a Delta Chi, and mentored a Grand Rapids team. Flint FIRE used to be mentored by two brothers from Phi Gamma Delta and Sigma Chi...

Oh, and I know a girl on 229 who's a Theta Phi Alpha.

I've found that whether or not joining a fraternity/sorority is a good idea strongly depends upon which university you attend. At MSU, I have not found that it would be a worthwhile thing for me to do. My sister at Kettering however, is in a sorority and seems to fit in perfectly in it. The sororities there are a bit different than they are here, however...

I go to Kettering (and know your sister) and am also in a sorority (a different one) and found that you are 100% correct, the university plays a large role in the function of a sorority or fraternity. Personally i LOVE my sorority but i have friends at other schools that decided to quit. I would just recommend to anyone who is considering going into Greek life, do your research and find out what the organization stands for.
