Family dog addicted to sucking toads

A strange and disgusting tale indeed.

Wikipedia has become the snopes of the 21st century.

I thought this story sounds fishy. Apparantly the dog would have to smoke the toads skin or venom to hallucinate. If the dog sucked on the toads it would most likely die from the toxins (which is exactly why the toads have toxic venom glands).

I have a very old cocker spaniel. When I saw the picture I knew that somewhere in the story would be the word, tenacity. My cocker has lost his sight, his hearing, a good deal of his mobility, but his tenacity (another word for stubborn) is as strong as ever. He loves tissues. Kleenex. The ones that we throw in the little trash cans in the bathrooms. Loves 'em. It's funny because you will see a mop of black fur with a little white wad or big wad, depending on what he has chewed, sticking out of his mouth. I can handle tissue better than toads and hallucinations. If he were to open his mouth and a toad popped out, one would probably have to pick me up off the ground - although it would be probably something you would get used to. Sounds like a strange twisted fairy tale of sorts.

Ken, actually the dog does not lick enough of the venom to kill it, I know wikipedia isn't always the best place for info but i have read this article from a more reputable place, ill try and find it and post it
