Re: Red Herrings anyone?
the batons would float so a water game isnt completely ruled out.
also i wouldnt assume batons for 07 just because were all sort of expecting it now and the gdc likes to throw us with crazy ideas. |
Re: Red Herrings anyone?
I wonder if those 'batons' would fit inside of mailboxes :yikes:

red herring n. 1. A smoked herring having a reddish color. 2. Something that draws attention away from the central issue. [From its use to distract hunting dogs from the trail.] |
Re: Red Herrings anyone?
Could dave's post about everything being suspected to be a red herring be a clue...
In the Princess Bride all options turned out to be poison, Dave compared a red herring to poison... The one who came out on top was impervious to the poison... Meaning that ALL clues given will be red herrings and the only ones who will come out on top will be the ones who ignore all of Dave's posts becuase they will all be poison (red herrings)! So we should all think about the opposite of whatever Dave says... He has been dropping clues that the game will be underwater, but we must think the opposite... THE GAME WILL BE ON DRY LAND AND HAVE NO FISH! Thank Heavens... |
Re: Red Herrings anyone?
the quote by dlavery obviously was meant to say that no matter what he says theres no way to know if its true or not. maybe we should just wait with baited breath until kickoff.

In case my sarcasm is not apparent in my text, I actually think that there is no way of telling what next year's game could be just off of clues. But, I do find it extremely fun to discuss the clues on boards such as this and in school with friends in order to keep the excitement alive and have everyone fired up even before kickoff. I have kickoff marked on all my calendars already. |
Re: Red Herrings anyone?
im not slandering the discussion of the clues but again there is no way to absolutly tell anything ever until kickoff.

Re: Red Herrings anyone?
No, it was told to everyone watching nationals: it will be the 2006 game, but with multi-colored lights!

I'm still holding out for batons. Or lawn chairs. Something incredibly odd like that. |
