We are buying the car or truck. As of right now you would have to pick up car or truck in Enfield, CT. Some one is right we would make $20,000 if we sell all 2000 tickets less expenses.

Team 932 actually had this same idea and are thinking about implementing it for this seasons fundraising. We would going to sell 2500 tickets at $20 apiece and the prize was actually the same car that you have chosen to give away. We got the idea from a local private company who was raffling off an 06 Cobra believe it or not, but at a much higher price per ticket.

So you don't have to be present to win the car, but you do have to pick it up yourself? Also, just wondering but does CT, have any laws/restrictions against minors buying tickets for something like this?

I just told everyone selling tickets to say you must be 18 to buy and win.

Yes we are game starts at 6:30 under the lights tonight. When basketball season starts we will selling them at home games at Windsor Locks. We have to see if we can get Suffield to do it at their home games also.

Wow, 2000 tickets. Confident that you'll sell that many? What if you only sell 800? I'm sure you guys have all these details thought out.

We do a raffle for a Laptop computer, $800 value, $5 tickets. Capped at 1000 tickets. We got to the 1000 ticket mark in 2003, but this year, we've only sold about 300 tickets so far. We have a lot of young team members who don't go out in the community to sell. Either way, raffles are a great way to fundraise, just make sure you follow all the state laws.

Believe me are ok with the state. From the time we filled out the paper work the first time until we got permit to go ahead with raffle it was about 5 weeks. The paper work was sent back and forth about four times. Each time we sent it back someone different than the time before would see something different. Same questions was posed to two different people and got completely different answers. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. That is a typical state thing. I know I own my own trucking business and have to deal with DOT police all the time. You can line up three DOT police ask the same question and get three different answers.

Re: Aces High Raffle

if i get enough response of people interested in buying a raffle ticket I will go to Manchester's kick off to sell tickets. Also I will try to get someone to go to East Hartford to sell tickets. I think our team will be picking up our kit in East Hartford. So whoever picks up kit I will give them tickets to sell. I will update as I get more information.
