Hello Peoples, How can I be like you?

Hi Guys, I am sitting here with our rookie programming team (I know nothing about programming as I'm the part of the design and build team so I am learning too right now) and we are trying to integrate our code into the vex default code so we can still drive around and have our code work. Right now our code overwrites the default code so our arm works but the driving doesn't. How can we put the two codes together?

Thanks in advance

Vova

I am not great at programming. If you start with the default code that is in the samples, then build the rest of your system on it then things will go better. If that doesn't work, go to http://www.team188.com and leave a post there for Shawn Lim. We are in the Toronto area so maybe we can talk by phone as well.

Re: Hello Peoples, How can I be like you?

I will write it out for you if that's ok since I am at home and the code is at my friends house:

it's a while cycle with a "if else"

if limit == 1

motor 5 (127) //stopped position
motor 6 (127) //stopped position

else

motor 5 (0)
motor 6 (0)

wait 1000

motor 5 (127)
motor 6 (127)

i know it doesn't follow any programing rules but that's what we are trying to put into the default code

You should check out easyC for VEX it is designed for people just like you! :D

I promise that you will be able to program your robot in under 15 minutes to drive and move your arm. Just look at the help file real quick and you should be on your way.

You can download a trial here: http://www.intelitekdownloads.com/FVC2006/

If you need a FRC copy PM and I'll set you up with a copy of that.
