I looked this stuff up on first-a-holics after I wrote this post and found it all to be correct (I wasn't even 2 when this game was played)... :o Remember guys, in order to figure out the game, look at what Grady said three years prior. |

On a side note, what hints has Lavery posted lately? Remember, they could be anywhere-- and two of last year's implied that Billfred was on the design committee. |

That's all I have to say. ;) |
Re: 2007's game
Dave Lavery was seen at purchasing a bag of chips at the market yesterday. There is a high probability that the 2007 game will involve grabbing, much as a person grabs the potato chips out of a bag. Also, the chips were priced at 2.50 per bag (he bought two bags), which suggests that there will be five people on the field with one team alternating between teams, like a freelancer. Lavery also used paper, not plastic, to bag his chips. Paper is manufactured from trees. Trees come from the forest, and forests get their water from rivers and rain. Will the 2007 competition involve water?

Re: 2007's game
OK I was in NH a few weeks ago. I looked in the back.
You can quote me here. I saw a LOT of cardboard boxes. Why did they need so many? Game pieces. Pressure from FedEx has a game based on the boxing of items on the field for shipment. Items like...fish...bananas...water bottles....pictures.... see it all fits if you wait late enough at night and then anything makes sense |

Re: 2007's game
i heard from a very reliable source that the 'rubber fish' are actually chickens, because everyone knows that rubber fish aren't very awesome, whereas rubber chickens are sweet. the statement about nuts and bolts actually means that we can't use nuts and bolts to fasten anything to the robot, and that the entire frame must be held together using ONLY zip-ties and duct tape (what can't u hold together w/ those things?). Nuts and bolt-heads are 6 sided, so there will be 6 robots, 3 teams of 2 just to make things more interesting for those not playing. Nuts and bolts are threaded, so there will be a platform in the center of the field which may only be ascended by the sets of curving ramps (like the threaded portion of a bolt) The final portion of my intel is a secret, the price being your life....you have been warned
WARNING: SPOILER BELOW ------------------------ ------------------------ ------------------------ ------------------------ ------------------------ ------------------------ ------------------------ ------------------------ The chickens are the secret portion of this game, you must collect as many of the live chickens as possible. You get extra points if your robot can hit another robot with one of the rubber chickens that is lying around specifically for that purpose. |
Re: 2007's game
There was a serious game clue posted by Dave that many people did not notice, and i thank Ken for noticing it for us. If you havnt found it it was a post from November of last year. I don't want to make it so obvious, so i hope you guys can hop over to the post and find it.
