SIDE NOTE
BUT............
Next year when IT comes out and Dean becomes all famous, hopefully some media will be thrown FIRST's way and then that would be a good time to market FIRST stuff to the public!! Hmmmm....I wonder if team fees would go down if they did sell FIRST stuff to the public??? |
Probably not.
|
Depends on Disney.
FIRST could sell keychains with the logo. I'm really thinking we need to get the bumper stickers going and put the FIRST web address on them. That would get the name out there and get publicty. Have on that says something like "Build the future through FIRST" and have the web address. That little phrase was off the top of y head so don't start rippin' me for it. |
IMO: I really hate the FIRST site. It's too dull, and not enough pictures, descriptions, and videos of the competition. The past competitions section doesn't have much either.
|
This is true but at least people can learn about FIRST by going there. I would suggest sending people to this site but that wouldn't help them learn about FIRST.
|
About the bumperstickers and the FIRST web site...
I do agree, the FIRST website is a bit dull. Maybe they could have a web design contest for the students of FIRST. But, if you take a look at the canadaFIRST website, it happens to be rather nice on the eyes.
Tomorrow is my day off. I plan to post the bumper sticker preliminaries for voting and comments tomorrow evening so look for them then. I'll make sure that the website is on them all. |
Canada FIRST?????
Oh no I better not let somone on my team know that (Vinnie) :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( |

Ah touche'
Yes Dean is already famous but especially only with high school students involved in FIRST. But, When IT is released Dean Kamen will hopefully be a household name and then the publicity for Dean will start a snowball effect and then hopefully more exposure for FIRST will come calling, more than it already is!!!:D |
And they will name a planet after him!
Well, you never know. What if IT is a device that can send us (reletively) faster than light? |
Back on subject about Battlebots action figures.....
Congrats to 177 for having a mini "Deadblow" duct-taped to their robot at Bash today. It took me like an hour to figure out what that noise was ;) |

Battery operated and everything.... attached is a pic:
(i hope they didn't mind my use of duct tape since it is an illegal fastener :) ) |
