I actually kind of like the idea of throwing the teams back into the pot. It would open up opportunities for people that didn't have such great picking positions...:cool:

The only way I would see it as fair is if you gave up your first round pick to get that disposed of players first round pick.

The way I kind of see it is if a player goes, the teams go back into the pool. After all, if this were the Montreal Expos folding (thank goodness that didn't happen, sorry to tick off any people on 296) the players would have to find work somewhere else. But if the player stays; the team is offlimits. If the player comes back later and draft, the teams are offlimits.

Just an outsiders opinion, that team should remain outside the pool of eligible teams.
Say Philmont gets booted (I don't think he will, just as an observation). If 71 were to return to the pool, it would be unfair to everyone else that whoever has the next pick essentially is allowed an additional first round (top 2 in fact) pick.

I agree with Ed's post, that the person would toss their pick in the pool to get the dropped person's pick. It seems more reasonable that way. Then the person is giving up something and gaining something. Besides, you all never know how well teams may do this year, so why the stress?
