"attending" signature

Is there a profile page to set up the attending events signature that many people have, or do I need to do that manually?

Re: "attending" signature

It's under CD-Events, then click the link for "event list", at least until Brandon gets the new CD-Events page up and running.

Go to CD-Events. Theres a column for the people attending an event. It says 'You are not attending. Change it.'. Click 'Change it.' and you're marked as attending (or have attended a past event).

Any future events will show below your signature.

Brandon,

The GLR one keeps saying "loading" and it won't let me say I'm going. ::makes 'I didn't do it' face::

Re: "attending" signature

Seems to be an error like Beth said in the second column from the left.

I don't see a column for "people attending" or anywhere for 'You are not attending. Change it.'

The far right column says:

Teams Coming
Wrong teams listed? fix it
No teams scheduled to attend.

If I click "fix it" I get a "not quite yet" response

Internet Explorer Will display "error on page" in the bottom status bar on the browser when trying to load the bad ones.
Very annoying.
Hopefully this problem finds a solution soon. :)

Kickoff in NH is broke, and also The NJ Regional just taking a look at the ones I plan on attending.

Does New Hampshire Kickoff, or NJ work for you??

Only certain ones don't load. Those 2 being 2 of them.

There should be a column just to the left of that that says "Users attending" You need to click in that column not the "teams attending".

Those two particular events haven't worked for me either.

The events he mentioned have the "Users Attending" bug.

See, that's the problem with some events.
The users column never finishes loading so no one can sign up.

Teams is there, but not an option yet.. which is no biggie.

I don't get that column - I went down the list of events (first 10 or so) and none of them give me that option

here's the screen I get

Where it says loading.. and doesn't go any further is where "Users Coming" should be.

Go to another event and have a look see.
Boston Regional works I know for fact.

You'll see what is broken on yours, and NH Kickoff, and NJ among others ("Users Coming" list never loading).

NJ and Philly worked for me - using Firefox. I tried loading NJ with IE and got the "loading..." bug, but I expect IE to screw up.

Here's what you should see:

So.. I have to use 2 different browsers to sign up on different events if IE doesn't like one??
Sounds like a bad crossover web design code standard to me.

Re: "attending" signature

I buzzed through and found 13 events have trouble via IE 6.0:
Philly, W. Michigan, Israel, San Diego, Chesapeake, Silicon Valley, Detroit, Kansas, Bayou, GLR, LA, NJ, Kickoff.
The other main FRC events work.

P.S. Maybe Pete can start a registration service...

oooooh oooooh try Lone Star - if it works, you have to make some travel plans for Texas!:D

(Edit: teasing, but...everyone is always welcome at Lone Star.)

I have the same result when I try and "attend" GLR. It also wasnt my fault  Using IE 7.

But GTR and Waterloo both work as shown below!

Re: "attending" signature

I tried viewing GLR in Firefox 2.0 RC3, IE6 (actually an IE tab inside of FF), K-Meleon 1.02, Opera 9.02, and SeaMonkey 1.0.5 all on Windows XP 5.1.2600
Results:
Firefox: Loads
IE6: Loading error
K-Meleon: Loads
Opera: Loads
SeaMonkey: Loads
It appears that IE is pulling another incompatible with the rest of the world stunt.

I guess I'll have to wait until I get home, since my company computer is a slave to IE

adding to Luke's debug list:
Firefox 2.0 (Mac) & 1.5 (PC) :)
IE 5.2 (Mac) & 6.0 (PC)
Safari 2.0 (Mac) :)

It'll be fixed tonight.

Panic? Is that what you call this?? Nahhh!!!!
Do you know what real panic consists of??
Are you sure you've been through all 6 of the 6 weeks of hell?
That's panic time. lol

This is merely stimulating discussions and problem solving.

It gave Pete an opportunity to make sure his smilies are in place and working. That was important.

Uh oh, I tried again today and I still have the same problem. Should I start a new thread so we can rehash all of this fine discourse?
