You got me excited that they finally put it back up on the new site/server. Too bad you were joking. I've told a few people, and they've done a good job keeping their mouth shut, but, we're about to explode here, so I'll go ahead and share it.

Just before the FIRST website was revamped, I clicked link and was redirected to a page with a subtitle "2007 Game Hint" Underneath, it read:
What does this mean!!!?!?!

EDIT: Okay, I've received some angry PMs about this. I guess I wan't supposed to say it so soon, sorry guys. Anyhow, it's out now, so eat it up.

Well Greg isn't it obvious? The extra period, or "dot" represents the craziness behind the discussions about the Reputation Dots here on CD.
Now we all know the coolest rep dots are green, and circular(ish) and/or cube(ish) in shape.
This can only mean the game objects will be glowing green balls and/or cubes of some kind and since they are glowing green, guess what? The camera is back in the kit. w00t!

at the risk of being serious here -

I'm not so sure all the schools in the global community of FIRST are finished with things like exams, research papers, classes.

It is just a guess on my part but I'm pretty sure school and exams would take priority for a couple of more days in the year '06. (I always play the heavy, I know:o )

Wasn't this the fake but very official looking usfirst.org page (for the 2003 competition) that stated the FRC competition was canceled.
I remembered all the phone calls from very upset and shocked students asking why.

The link stopped working, but there was a picture on it before. I saved the picture and the file was 2007Clue1. So there maybe more out there, it could just be a test picture or something.

actually, if i remember correctly, it was during a time when we were unsure were the championship would take place; during the rampant speculation, joe decided to put up a page that stated that the championship wouldn't occur that year. he fooled a good amount of people, and some* of them still hold a grudge...

*by some of them, i mean me. revenge is a dish best served cold, joe.
