We've all been racking our brains over here at my team, so our web designer decided to have some fun with is.

Look at the banner.. http://www.teamspyder.org/index.php

So i saw that someone else had said that IFI isn't selling the kit bot transmissions any more so I looked around their website and I found that they are releasing a next generation of traction wheels soon. My thought is that like last year we are going to have to climb something but this year I think it will either have less space for the robots to get on or is going to be steeper.

I became an awfully big fan of ramps. They are so fun to drive up and down on!

We've known that for a while. IFI revised their wheels to fix some problems and make them look slicker.

Sanddrag might be onto something with the banana. haha or might just be Dave's new way to sign his masterpieces.:p

Think of game pieces being the old style kiddie life preservers used in swimming pools (long before water wings were invented) that have to be placed on 5 poles with different point values (higher poles score higher points). Another kiddie reference to this toy that you'll stack the tubes on.

Stack 5 in a row and get bonus points. Other patterns get different points (like Connect Four).

Hmm, a full size version of King of the Rings would be amazing...

I promised myself I wouldn't contribute to the guessing game, but I just had to offer up this little thought: 2004 was a partially super-sized version of 2000...maybe we could get a super-sized version of 1997 with 5 levels of scoring instead of 3. That'd be just evil.

Dont forget the "hint" from last year, Red then Green the BLue. The 5th round the color could be blue? there is going to be more colors. they may corrolate to numbers, when you can score, how much a point is worth, etc. I doubt field dimension will change, committees arent going to redesign there layouts for the regionals, i doubt robot weight would change to 500, However new cims motors are out and that means power settings, and electronics will be changing a bit. Theres a chance for robot dimensions to change, so. FIRST is based around team work, so i doubt a rogue robot. and i doubt water. too expensive to bring into an arena and water and electricty dont work to well. so no people. Thats my 2 cents i cant really shoot anything else down. Diamond Plate+ Colors+ other then that. idk.

!! A thought just Hit me!.. and now my migraine is fluctuating even worse!
What if this clue is a hint where to find OTHER clues ??

Or, or, or maybe.... They're scattered around all the other pages??...:ahh:

This indept clue research is making me think that the new web page design is a clue too.. :(

...15 more days until my migraine goes away.... :-(

.. still think we're going to have 5 periods, more clues, and 10x the paranoia of other years :p

and no, Elgin, not the promiscuous periods Dave's been leaving around :D

EDIT: Here we go. There's no doubt about it. That's a banana.

This looks like the scoring objects will be bananas and yes, square platforms could be likely.

But there's more to it. More....namely in that the robot has to CLIMB UP to get to the square platform and then the robot can shoot into the goal. Improvements on the iBot, eh?

I get it.

And the real answer is, of course, a multiplayer 5-disk Towers of Hanoi puzzle...

Re: Serious the Real hint

I looked over the image very carefully there is defiantly a banana in the lower right hand corner, furthermore I would like to add that there are several distorted images in the background but most importantly in the background appears to be bubbles as if under water… I'm part of a new team but I've never heard of water FIRST competition. I would investigate further but my computer doesn’t have any good programs with which to examine my hypothesis further… If someone would be kind enough to examine the left side for me I would be much obliged as I think I saw a robot there.

ok here we are.

our guess is that the blue background represents the blue square in the symbol of first and the 5 represents 5 of something. 5 diamond plate aluminum squares is our guess for the objects. also perhaps we are changing to a circular field. this was the case in fvc so perhaps it will be the same in frc

I love that idea!!!! :D My brain is hurting trying to get into the minds of those who comeup with the clue for us. It's probably somthing so simple as painting a 5 on diamond plate and the field is a blue color lmao.

Re: 2007 Official FRC Game Hint / Email Blast

If the banana in the five is real...that means that whatever the blue thing is, is also what the blue bot was holding in the dlavery pic.

While it may or may not be multiple colors, this game will be highly dependent on some type of dynamic feedback control.
