Merry Christmas All!
Joint present from my parents and an aunt: Nikon Coolpix S7C (which actually cost about 275 after a coupon). From just my parents I got some normal clothes (a blue hoodie [so I can stay warm at college next year], a sweater, and a polo shirt from Aeropostale), a red dress shirt and tie, and a dvd, most of which I had chosen for myself. From my brother and his wife, I got a $50 amazon gift certificate. From my sister and her husband, I got $60 cash and a family gag gift which has been passing around my family for several years now (I might post a picture later). From Michelle Celio, I got a Ninja Remote, Monty Python Killer Rabbit Slippers (really comfortable!), and an "I (heart) my geek" t-shirt. Quote:

Re: merry christmas
My "big presents" from my parents were a Kodak EasyShare Series 3 photo printer (to go with my Kodak EasyShare Z650 I bought myself for my birthday!) and a $200 American Eagle shopping spree. :) I also got a jewelry box, a sterling silver and marcasite necklace with matching earrings, a spice rack, and a carryall for my scrapbooking stuff.
From my grandma, I got a pair of white gold and tanzanite earrings (to match the white gold, tanzanite, and diamond ring my dad got me for my birthday), a crock pot, some cookbooks, and air-bake cookie sheets. I won't see my boyfriend until the 5th of January (he's coming to see me and to help me with the 2 KOPs I have to bring back to Houghton/Chassell) so I have no idea what he got for me ... but he promises it's "good"! :) |
Re: merry christmas

Re: merry christmas
The best gift I got, was a result of a gift that was given. This year our team organized a Christmas gift drive for a family that is down on their luck. Knowing that we helped make their Christmas special, was the best gift I could have gotten.
I hate to sound like one of those stupid Christmas cliches and be a big downer, but this thread made it feel necessary. Enjoy the gifts you received, but take a bit of time to think of those less fortunate and remember how lucky you all are. There's a lot of people out there who would kill for just one tenth of each have you has received. Merry Christmas to all of you. |
