New Sears 3 Axis Wood Mill

Just saw an add for this on TV: http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?vertical=TOOL&pid=00921754000&adCell=P3 &BV_UseBVCookie=Yes

Interesting, add says it will do Polycarb too. 14.5"W x 5" H x virtually unlimited length. Will it be long before we see a Sears CNC mill for aluminum?

Has anyone tried one of these toys?

$1900!?!? Geez, I would never pay that much for that little thing. Well, I mean, the little Roland machines go for like 3 grand, but I wouldn't pay that much for one of those either :D

I think the cost will have to come down on this thing for it to make it in the market. I don't think it is really capable enough to survive, at least not at that price.

I looked at the specs on it, and assuming that you can fit a standard endmil to it should be able to do aluminum.

As long as you program it to make small cuts I believe that it is capable of higher machining. Now as the fact that I have never seen or used one of the machines I am making assumptions based on the machine specs, anyone want to try it and let us know for sure.

IMO I would rather spend the 2000 on a used Bridgeport
