This just in... I'll be pit announcer again! I had a blast last year and got many compliments. I'm looking forward to doing it again. (A little mishap at the campground involving water and tents kept me away from the mic on Saturday. No tents this year!)

Have volunteer assignments been sent out yet? I definitely registered back in May, but I haven't heard anything back.

They were sent out yesterday.

I'm attaching what was sent to me.

Oh NO! My name's spelled wrong! Oh well... not the first time. Man it's a boring day... lol.

I just got back from shopping for the school supplies and backpack. That was fun. Too many choices though - I was very proud of the fact that I stuck to the list - that is rare. I didn't purchase anything fuzzy, furry, or funny. *sigh*

I did the same thing tonight with my Mom (she's 81) - I think she was recalling doing this about 40 years ago, for yours truly. She picked out a pretty cool backpack, while I got the "boring stuff".

Does anyone know what color this years IRI shirts are going to be? I need to plan to match accordingly. :p

Hopefully something darker this year. I have my light green and light blue shirts still. Need something darker... black would be cool.

Of course! I forgot that one! Hm... methinks since Lacey won't be there, I'll touch a dab of pink, baby blue, and lime green in there. :ahh:

I believe that the good folks of Wildstang are providing the webcast again this year.

Here is the link.

"Wildstang, I think I love you"

Also, regarding IRI t-shirts... I forget the color, but I am fairly sure that there will be many comments regarding them. You'll see. We were inspired by a comment made at a presentation at this year's Manchester kickoff.

Is it mauve?
