Woodie's qoute
 

During kickoff, Woodie made a qoute and I'm not sure excalty how it goes. It was something like you have the build season and with magic you get a robot. Not really sure what the qoute was. Does anyone know?

all I know is that he made reference to a scientist(?)'s description of self-esteem, and I am looking for it like right now...

Is it just me or did they talk twice as long at the kickoff this year? I was annoyed and thinking "Just get to the game!!!":mad:

Who's the person that said "Robotics isn't about building robots"? That's the most stupidest thing I've ever heard... Of course it is. It's why they call it 'robotics'. Otherwise, there would no 'robo' involved in the word. :mad:

FIRST Robotics isn't essentially about building robots...otherwise, it would be the same as any other robotics program.

I think you should learn a little bit more about FIRST and a little bit more about what you can get out of it before you claim how stupid that quote is. Learing how to build a robot will not even make a top 10 list of things you learned in FIRST.

Also I don't think that quote is any more stupider than saying most stupidest.

The person in question is the founder of FIRST, Dean Kamen. He did not say that robotics isn't about robots, he said, "FIRST is not about building robots."
