Rack N' Roll - 1 Page Rules Summary

Like the title said, this is a single, 1 page rules summary that pretty much distills the main ideas of the game. Please forgive the occasional awkward wording, it's difficult to fit so much information on a single page. I intend to upload this to the Whitepaper section after suggestions are implemented.

I'd welcome any comments, feedback and suggestions you guys might have on this. Thanks!

Open Office Format
Microsoft Word Format

B.T.W. I wrote this in Open Office (.odt) so I'm not sure what the .doc format will look like. Hopefully it'll look the same, but I don't have Word on this machine so I have no way of checking. Be sure to let me know if it didn't work.

Singleton, not simpleton. In the part about the end game, not only can't opposing robots enter, but they have to leave (something about no opposing robot may be in the zone, maybe?). Otherwise, not bad!

You should technically eliminate the 2^0 condition - I'd like to receive 1 point for every tube I didn't hang on the rack. Woo 21 points (18 ringers and 3 keepers) if I do nothing! Kinda like bonus objects in FLL! :D I kid.

Also. you should eliminate the "+2 points per Singleton" statement. Unlike in the Triple Play game, you do not get points for individual tubes hung on the rack. Your points are solely derived from the size of the horizontal and vertical rows you create. A row of 1 Singleton is covered by your 2^x scoring statement.

Some people don't automatically know that 2^5 = 32 etc. You may wish to provide a compact scoring table to go along with your statement.

Thanks for providing this!

Good catch! Fixed. Second part reworded for clarity.

I've reworded this part to make it a bit more clear.

I understand the scoring system, but you make an excellent point about this part being confusing as well as extraneous and unnecessary. Consider this part axed.

I didn't have enough room to put one in earlier. But after your suggestion about axing the Singleton part, that freed up about 3-4 lines, just enough to put a scoring table in.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions guys! I've updated the document accordingly, you can follow the original link at the top of the thread to get the new version. Feel free to use this with your own teams if you'd like.

Hope you find this useful.

This is not true. You get 2 points for a singleton, as stated in the section of the game manual that lays out scoring.

you get two because it is a row/column of one, 2^1 =2 points

one thing you need to change is one the spoiler, you should mention that the spoiler is only effective if it is the outer of the two tubes, if it is inner, then it is negated by the tube on the outside

Good point. Clarified the spoiler bit. Thanks!

Edit: I've fixed a few minor things suggested by members of my team, including clarifications on scoring.
