What is your favorite dog? |
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
I really don't like dogs, I had a bad experience as a child. Though, if I had to puck a favorite (whcih apparently I do) I would pick a Newfoundland. They look like giant puppys!
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
My favorite dog is a poodle-shnopers mix. Its what my dog is. He has a slight overbite, but these great floppy ears. He maybe small, but sometimes he can be loud.
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
My favorite dog is my goldfish "Fishy." It thinks it is a dog. When ever you go by the fishtank it comes to the front and wags its tail and splashes and begs for food. :ahh: It gets so excited that you can almost visualize a dog who is happy to see its master. We put a new little goldfish in the tank and Fishy has trained it to do the same thing.:D
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
the best dog would be one that will do what you say. also one that can stay away from robots. and last one that can take care of it self for 5 days so i could go to first competitionsand not worry.
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
Old dogs are my favorite. They live life honestly and it is reflected in their eyes and their dignified gait. Their continued patience with me spans decades.

What is your favorite T.V show? |
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
My favorite T.V show would have to be Doctor Who. My Aunt and Uncle originally showed me a lot of the original episodes a few years ago. Once the new series came out, I became more interested in it. Within the show, my favorite Doctors had to be Tom Baker and now David Tennant.
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
Mythbusters all the way! What would TV be without them?
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
I'm a fan of Bones. I really like the premise of the story - forensic anthropologist. I also love the characters and the way they are being allowed to develop and relate with one another.
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
Mythbusters is the best. They do some crazy stuff. Last there insurance bill must be huge.
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
Forget Mythbusters. My favorite show: How It's Made.

My favorite TV show (and band) is Flight of the Conchords. It's so absolutely hilarious. Their songs are ridiculous, yet they sing them so seriously. The episode where Jemaine was calling Bret's girlfriend "Yoko" because he thought she was trying to break up the band.

How is your summer going so far? |
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
My summer so far has been great. I went to the midnight viewing of Transformers and the release of Harry Potter. The one thing that i do wish I could have done this summer was go to IRI, but because of work and driver's ed I couldn't. Otherwise, this summer has been amazing.
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
My summer has been going good. I've mainly have been staying home. As well as creating new robot Ideas.
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
Awesome. Between the best Scout Camp EVER, and an awesome IRI, what else would I have needed. And to top it off, in Augost, I am going backpacking in Glacier National Park, Montana. Then right after school starts, I'm going on a bike ride that includes a hog roast. Top that!! :D
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
Summer’s been great and pretty much stress free for the first time since 8th grade (no more SATs/ACTs for my parents to panic about). So I had fun on my bday, read Harry Potter, and I’ve basically been hanging out (and doing robotics stuff of course). Only wish I could’ve gone to IRI but we have plenty of other comps in MI, so I guess I shouldn’t complain too much…
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
Summer? Is it summer already? Actually the line up here is that summer occurs on July 12th and if you are lucky, it is sunny that day. The rest of the time it is just called "construction season."
All I can say is it is GOING FAST!!! I only have three weeks left to get my daughter ready and packed off to college! And five months from yesterday it will be Christmas! |

Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
I have lots of favorites as well, but nothing really new. One that I put at the top right now is "Valley Song" by The News Boys. It is one of those deep thoughtful songs that I need to hear everyonce in a while to put my priorities back in order.

If you could host a benefit concert, what would the name of the concert be, what would be the objectives of the concert and who would play at your concert? |
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
My benefit concert would be Technocite. I would raise money to help pay for technology classes to be taught at poorer schools so kids could have a better technical education. I would have Weird Al and They Might Be Giants play and if possible have the Mythbusters appear.

Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
I like KK donuts. The clasic glassed ones. They should be hot or else they are ok.
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
Apple cider cake donuts, preferably freshly made in an orchard with real cider (not that pasteurized stuff).
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
Finally a question I can answer!!!
My favorite is the jelly stick, made by Dunkin' Donuts! They are heavy and cakey! I just love pondering the effort to squirt the jelly all the way through! |
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
To join in with the fall weather thoughts -
I like to make doughnuts using canned biscuits. You can cut them in 1/2 - fry them on each side in a skillet with an inch or so of hot oil - just 'til they are golden. Then roll them in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Serve with hot chocolate with marshmellows and you are good to go. Now if Texas would just cooperate with fall *sigh*. |

My team is registered for the BAE Systems Granite State Regional and we will determine where we will go for our second competition within the next few weeks.
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
As of right now it doesn't look like we are going to any regionals. I think we are on the waitlist for Hawaii. I'm pretty sure we will also go to the Fingerlakes regional. But we could wind up someplace else if it fills up before we hear if we are going to Hawaii. I'm also planning on going to a few regionals without the team like Lone Star, but that will depend on the teams final schedule.

If I were to make a documentary on FIRST robotics and follow a team from kickoff to championship, what would the title of the documentary be? |
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2

FIRST: From First to Last - the Road to Championships. (How and I supposed to make this answer three sentences!) :D |
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
FIRST: From FIRST Bolt to Competition.
Its an ok name. It would be sweet if someone was to make a documentary on FIRST that would be put in all movie theaters. That way the message of FIRST could be heard by a whole lot more people. |
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2

Trust. The two last sentences of this thread are filler, as the answer is self-explanatory. So there.

Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
Dust. The smallest 'item' I could think of (without going molecular), and it's free, except when purchased in quantity (for stage use, which is what makes it an 'item') in which case, it is very very cheap.

What are you going to be for Halloween? For me, I think that I am going to be myself. |
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
For the most part I will be a wonderful mother passing out candy at my house while all of the little kiddies in the neighborhood trick or treat. But I do have a medieval renaissance queen or some other form of female royalty costume. I might wear it. I wore it for Ruckus, and everyone kept asking me who I was. I need to do more research before I wear hand-me-down costumes.
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
I'm most likely going to wear my spoiler costume while wearing a deflated spoiler. No one will understand it at school, but it will amuse me. It does leave me wondering if in the future if game pieces will be wearable.
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
I'm not sure what I'll be, but I won't be the Washington Monument. 28 years ago I was at a 40,000 person halloween party in Madison Wisconsin, dressed as the Washington Monument. Amazingly enough, I spotted another Washington Monument and walked up to it only to find out that the person inside was my brother! :ahh:

Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
I dont know what i will be doing. I might go to HHN. Or i might just stay home.
|
Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
I plan to stay at home and pass out candy. And by pass out candy I mean sit on the porch and pretend to be a scarecrow, and then scare any kids who try to get candy. I'll get candy to eat from my brothers and sister.

Re: The "Anything" Quiz 2
I was a zombie; I had a "give blood" tshirt on so I suppose I was an 'after' picture for a Public Service Announcement.
I left my makeup on all evening, which became very fun when the kids came to trick-or-treat. When they rang the doorbell I opened the door and stood, holding the bucket o' candy, with a very vacant look on my face. A couple kids poked me to see if I was real. |
