Awesome! Thanks! :)

P.S. Since according to your spreadsheet, we get an engineering award for raising all three bots up, we decided to build a hover craft!

P.P.S. I wish.

CRITICAL UPDATE!!!

Version 2.0 is now posted.
I highly suggest trashing v1.0 and replace it with the new version. The scoring in version 2.0 is much more reliable than in 1.0. In 1.0, columns would add individual points from the tubes as well as the rows, this is no longer the case in 2.0. Also, column 3 just didn't work at all, this is now fixed. I've played around with it a little, but it seems to be working fine for me.

IF YOU FIND ANY PROBLEMS, PLEASE POST THEM AND I WILL GET THEM RESOLVED ASAP!!!

I am assuming that the double is to account for spoilers and what is then behind it?

Also in the next release could you add a easy reset button?

Great work

If anybody knows VBA code and would be willing to help me out with a RESET, I'd really appreciate it. I've been trying to play with it, but it just isn't working out right. The Keeper rows (B:Q 2,9,16) need to reset to a value of 6(value of the "none" button) and the robot rows (R:T 3,11) need to reset to 1, along with clearing(or set to 0) R7 and T14.

Again, if anybody knows VBA or would be willing to point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

CRITICAL UPDATE #2

of course, playing around with the more reliable 2.0, I realized it wasn't adding the top row in addition to the columns, a quick programming change and v2.1 is now released.

ENJOY!

I was just curious as to where V2.0 is posted

v2.0(now 2.1, soon to be 2.2) is posted on the same page as 1.0. The new paper system allows you to post multiple files into one paper, so all updates will be posted on the same page as the original. I didn't realize how the new paper system worked, or I just would have title the paper w/o the version #.

Here's the link: Rack & Roll scoring Spreadsheet

Thank you very much and the program is very nice and helpful.

CRITICAL UPDATE #3 (and hopefully the last...)

v2.2 is released.:eek: I've played with it thouroughly and all seems to be OK. The scoring definately throws you off looking at it quickly, but take a minute, sit back, and really think about what was counted and what is now getting counted, and it all makes sense. (I was driving myself nuts thinking things weren't adding up correctly...)

I do truly feel that v2.2 will give you a very accurate scoring and as always, if you find something wrong, don't hesitate to post it.

Also, once again, I would appreciate anyone who knows VBA code to help with a RESET button. What needs to be done is posted earlier in this thread.

Re: paper: Rack & Roll Scoring Spreadsheet v1.0

In version 2.1, if you put a Red Keeper or Ringer on the Top and Middle Row of the 1st Column the score say 6, when it should be 4.

Might want to take a look at that.

Re: paper: Rack & Roll Scoring Spreadsheet v1.0

I was playing with v1.0 yesterday fixing it to work for me and adding extras.

Reset was something i was looking into, and this is the macro I came up with:

Code:

Sub Button1456_Click()

Range("B2:Q2,B9:Q9,B16:Q16").Select
Selection.Value = 6
Range("R3:T3,R11:T11").Select
Selection.Value = 1
Range("A1").Select

End Sub

It selects the the Radio buttons and changes the value to "NADA" for the spider legs and changes the value to "<4"" for the raising of the robots.

Just an FYI for openoffice spreadsheet users, I am having problems getting this to do anything at all. I'll try it once I get to school with excel.

Re: paper: Rack & Roll Scoring Spreadsheet

Version 3.0 is now posted. It's exactly the same as 2.2.1 only it has a RESET thanks to Spidey.

Re: paper: Rack & Roll Scoring Spreadsheet v1.0

This is looking good. I am working on one with a student as well that we hope to complete this week.

I did notice that if you complete a column it is scoring 10 instead of 8 but then it corrects as more are added.

Keep up the good work
