Re: Palmetto Regional. Team 1319 Ramp action

Yeah without doubt 1319 is one of the best ramp bots Ive seen so far, they just go to show how important ramp bots are in this years competiton. I would like to thank all the teams that mentioned us and our bot, we really thought that it was the best bot we've ever built. Too bad no ATL for us this year. Oh well, theres always another year!

Does any one have or know where I can find Palmetto Regional video? YouTube and NASA have nothing.

Color me interested as well--I want to analyze some of our matches, particularly the ones where something went screwy. I know 343 had their little TV/VCR combo at the AV rack, so that might be a starting point.

Just now safely got home from Palmetto. I had car trouble, and just left at 4:00 pm today. Big THANKS to Bilfred for putting me up this weeked...and putting up with me.

Off topic, but sorry, I am out of it. (dang surgery..)

I remember seeing you (or at least your cool hat) at the competition! You might remember me, too. I am the 832 driver with the old-school goggles and the fox tail. Our interaction was limited, however, since I don't think our teams had a single match together. I really did not like the match setup algorithm at this regional. It's not that I didn't like the teams I ended up being paired up with over and over, it's just that I would have liked more variety. There are quite a few bots that I never got to go against/with once.

Surgery eh? Well that's a coincedence.

I just got out of surgery yesterday, but yet I can't wait until championships either :D

Thanks very much for the compliment. :) You guys were tough opponents. Those last matches were exciting and really fun to watch. In the stands we were holding our breath until the outcome.

Thanks 832 and 342. We made a super alliance.:D

And thank you 1319, for picking us! Hopefully we will have another chance to work together at the dome.

Unfortunately, we are in different divisions. We're in Gallileo and you and 342 got into Archimedes. Best of luck to the both of you. Maybe we'll meet in the middle to compete for the gold.

Sounds like a plan to me! :)

Galileo is lucky. 832 and 342 will just have to survive without 1319. Thanks again and good luck to all

The next time you want to yell at a ref, just remember, they are all volunteers and we are lucky to have such devoted people around us.

Ha ha yeah tough calls....We would of been 2nd seed but our match we thought we one was called a lost becasue when we went up on our ramp bot in the qualifying matches like one of the last ones i think we killed our rampbots ramp and when it collapsed it went outside of the size restriction so we got a penelty and they changed it and we dropped to 5th seed

Palmetto was great. Good matches, great fun, and a great new suction cup design (thanks Team Voltage (386)).

We certainly had a great conclusion to the competition, but seeing all those amazing robots (1251, 1626, 343, 832 (great to see you guys win it)) just to name a few, was really eye opening :yikes:

Hey guys, great job at Palmetto, I took the trip Saturday Morning, and it was well worth it. If you guys want some videos. I have Videos of 832's matches from Saturday, unfortunately I do not have complete videos of the Final 3 three matches; my phone ran out of memory. I am trying to find someone on our team that had a good quality camera and took some nice videos.

You can either watch whatever or check out the playlists and check out each regional.
