Whats wrong? Check to make sure your Operator Interface is Tethered to your Robot Controller or your radios are communicating. Next make sure your Operator Interface Light is not on. I wrote an arcade program in easyC, and connected my drive motors into ports 13-16 on the robot controller like the default code. Nothing happened. What am I doing wrong? There is an important difference between the first twelve, and final four PWM ports on the Robot Controller, which was mistakenly not articulated in the help file. There are two processors in the Innovation First Robot Controller, the master processor and the user processor. The master processor is responsible for off-loading the user processor of many I/O functions such as communicating with the operator interface and controlling the PWM ports. PWM ports 13-16 however are controlled directly by the user processor and not the master. In an environment like easyC where sensor data is processed in the background it is impossible to accurately generate values for those PWMs and have sensors and interrupts running at the same time. Therefore PWM ports 13-16 should not be used for normal PWM generation in easyC at this time. Where can I get additional seats of easyC? Try our on-line shop at www.intelitek-shop.com Where is the WPI Library Information PDF? We have found that the Belkin branded USB-to-Serial adapters have trouble downloading to the FRC and VEX robots. The best USB-to-Serial cable for programming is the orange VEX cable made by Prolific. This is the only officially supported USB-to-Serial adapter. |
