3053 (Yes...we're an FVC team...I feel so alone posting in this forum), will be staying in the Marriott Marquis.

I've heard amazing things about 1114's FVC & FRC robots and teams, seems we will be in the same hotel. That's good by me.

1270 The Red Dragons will be staying in the Westin this year. We usually stayed in the Marriot Marquis but we wanted something a little closer this year. Good Luck All!!

Unfortuanly prom will not be going on the time that we are down in Atlanta prom is usually the week of April 28th this year Nationals is during the spring break that is April 7th

Not sure where I'll be staying yet, but I will be going for the first time ever! So, look for me there. I'll be in hot pink with 696 (their first time ever too!).

A couple of questions. Are we talking about the same hotel here? I currently have the Renissance hotel at 590 W Peachtree St. NW as per:

Uh oh, looks like weekend Marta passes may be on the list of things to get for Team 237 when down in Atlanta. The Hilton is where we will be staying this year cause the Omni stinks and pwnd any and all FIRST teams who wanted to stay there. ::shakes fist in air at Omni folks::

(Now how am I not supposed to think of Paris Hilton when I am staying in a hotel named after her.. Aye.. FIRST: creating distractions to your daily thought process everytime you turn around.) lol :p

As far as the Hilton being far away, it looks to be only a few more blocks away than the Westin Peachtree/Hard Rock Cafe/Hooters location.
Not toooo bad.. but still kind of a walk. I expect a 15-20 minute outside door of hotel to my pit location walk if I walked.
Taking the Marta may not cut any time off of that 'cause of the 5 points station transfer you would have to take, but it would save your feet from a little walking me thinks.

There is a Hilton in downtown Atlanta. It's across the street from the Marriott -- letter E. It's a tower with three wings.

We found that it was faster to walk than to worry about MARTA. It's not a far walk -- but we're city folk. :) We'll be staying there again this year, as well.

Since the rest of my team voted against against going to Atlanta, even if we qualify at Davis, I will be going teamless for the the second year in a row :(

I'm sharing a room at the embassy suites with out lead (and only) animator Jacob. We hope to get nominated into the top five for the Autodesk Visualization Award, and maybe even win it this year! We took home the SVR AVA, versus some stiff competition, so I think our chances are good at the Championship.

Heh, the only thing is, Jacob is leaving Saturday after the awards ceremony, while I plan on staying for the Team Social afterwards and overnight, so I am trying to squeeze in with 192 on Saturday so I don't have to sleep at the airport :p

By the way, anyone know how I can get a team social ticket if I'm not with a team? Last year I was with team 100 all competition, so it wasn't a problem, but I don't know how, or if it is possible, to get individual tickets.
