Is there any software that does C programming for you?

I have been trying to learn the whole entire language by myself and I am not very good at it :ahh: no one in my team wants to program so they all look down on me...any ideas on what the program is and where I can get it? Oh also how much will it cost...:]

Thanks for any help you guys have for me...It is much appreciated:]

Inteletek makes a program called Easy-C, which was distributed to the teams (at least i think it was). It is a simplified version of programing in C, where you add buttons which the program interprets as code. It's a nice alternative to straight coding, especially if you do not know how to.

I believe this software is freely distributed to the teams. There is an upgrade to Easy-C Pro which costs 50 dollars if i recall properlly.

You should have gotten the CBot disk in the Kit of Parts that has the development environment and the compiler. After you install that look in the whitepapers here on programming, I have one thats fairly basic and a number of other teams also have put some up. Any questions just ask and we will gladly help you

The EasyC CD for FRC was included in the "Media Kit" inside the red tote. Install it and read on how to use it, don't just write your whole program in the "Main" program area, BUT you can do a real lot with this software, it almost does C programming for you. Once you load the software and start playing with it, feel free to come back and ask all the questions you have, we'll get you up to speed in no time.

I have used easyC for almost a month to teach kids and must say thats its really -almost- a perfect graphical C editor.

Beginners will find it easy to adapt from easyC to raw C programming with MPLAB in no time!

Ok, #1, calm down. You are asking for help then being rude because people are trying to help you. That portrays your team very poorly.

#2, it is the job of every FIRST participant to read the manual. I do not understand any technical aspect of this competition, but I am expected to read the manual just like everyone else. You play, you do the work too.

As to the programming, Easy C is a good option. It is GUI (for the record, that means it looks like a computer game) friendly so all you have to do is move a little box before or after another little box and construct a train of code. This program was in your Kit of Parts. If you don't know where it is, I would suggest asking your mentors, politely, to help you find it.

I hope that you get what you're looking for and that next time, you are a bit kinder to people trying to help you.

It just means graphical user interface. Although I wish they made it so I could play Sonic and it would write my code :p

However, EasyC is very easy to use. I would recomend you give that a try.

Does this remind anyone of a post by Red Mage that seems to have disappeared from the archives?
